what happened to them they were sick in Ski Movie 3 but i haven't seen any since 1242

- are they in any newer movies and do you like them

that was such a sick section in ski movie III. it was the first movie I bought and i still enjoy it today. I think they should deffinetly be brought back.

probably since it was done, they didnt do it again, which is strange, since msp had success with their heli shoots at whistler, and that gets plastered in their films since yearbook. but rather than plague glaciers, just go out to your local glacier and have at it

Thats because heli shots are the best and always get a great angle. Another method that filmers should try is a zip line, it works for mountain biking. And yes I would like to see more crevasse jumps and rails.

crevasse gap segs never did much for me. Crevasse gaps are too dangerous for the athletes to try really cool looking stuff over, and the shock and "extreme" value is only so-so. I've skied a few decent-sized crevasse gaps on Rainier over the years, and they're not that much fun. They're just too scary. Honestly, I can't imagine crevasse gaps are overly popular with athletes.

yeah they are pretty sketchy and i remember one person looked close to not clearing but i bet they could look for safer ones with landings farther past the end of the crevaase - but i seems that skiers have become less creative then they used to be

was it Rory Bushfield who almost fell into that Crevasse in some movie and if not for skis on his feet, surely would have fallen to his death?

Yea, that pretty much scared the shit out of me, and a lot of other people I am sure.

i guess because of the fucking crazy risk involved with a crevasse jump and were skiing is at today it would take a pretty big crevasse to imprese the majority of us these days

MSP actually ran a bunch of zip lines for a while back around the Focused years--Bachelor, Whistler pipe, Copper rail, Hood Meadows... Pep had some sick shots, as did Pollard and Bushfield, Turpin and CR. Mack Dawg was doing them as well, all set up by the guy in the mountain bike flicks who had pretty much mastered them. Can't really claim they were an Iberg innovation.

that shit was gnarl... crevasse gaps aresick.. think RFA..jon and henrick 120foot step down over crevasse , cork 7 to be exact. i think thats a preety tech trick over something that big and gnar.... hitting that switch would be very very scetch..
