I'm gonna be in Crested Butte next week. Just wondering if they have any rails or anything up. I know there's not enough snow for a park, but I thought maybe they'd throw some stuff out.
 
A bunch of boxes is all so far, 30" last weekend, and a bigger storm on the way though, ride Powder and screw the little boxes!
 
yeah... since it has snowed a foot of the driest powder (funny to me that utah thinks they have light snow) tonight and still coming down rediculously hard i would skip the boxes and ride the best terrain in north america instead.
 
HOLT SHIT !!!!! Just got in from riding Tits deep all morning, the dryest champagne i have ever seen here, 30"+ overnight, and it is not supposed to stop until Monday!!!
 
it's CRAZY here in CB... haven't seen this much snow at one time here for a long time.... Cars are getting stuck left and right multiple times, it's just insane.. I think they were even considering closing the road from CB to gunnison for a while there....
 
first snow day in the history of the crested butte community school today.  THAT speaks the truth of what is happening here.... Its silly. Tomorrow will likely be my best day ever.  3" per hour and its not stopping!
 
why would you ever ski park in crested butte? There are so many dope lines around there, even inbounds. Great snow, great skiing, great vibe. That's why they hold the national freeskiing champs there.
 
Theyve gotten 4 ft in the past 2 days from what iv been told, and im not gonna be skiing there for free this weekend cuz of this fucking bullshit engineering project i gotta present tomorrow, im just gonna keep on dirnkin so i dont think about it :-(
 
My friend Nate just moved out there from NY. This makes me so pumped for him! God, it must be really fun for him, going from EC conditions to a shitload of champagne powder...Yay for Nate!
 
this is the most snow crested butte has gotten in early season in so long. the pow is face shots the whole way down the mtn get up there for some free face shots soon before they begin charging for lift passes
