Crested Butte or Keystone??

Yo

I have the option to go to CB with villanova or Keystone with some friends from home....

What mountain is better overall and more challenging? I hear Keystone is pretty mellow and doesnt get as much snow on average.

Thanks

If you want park keystone has the best park in CO, if you want steep trees and some of the best skiing in CO go to crested butte, that simple

The Butte definately has the better snow and terrain. However if you want a mix of park and steeps keystone's day pass also works at A Basin which has some decent skiing. the pass also works at Breck which in my opinion has a better park simply because they maintain it way better.

And if your skiing for over 5 days in summit definately go with a season pass which will probally save you money in the end

I just talked to my friends....apparently they also want to ski vail and beaver creek possibly.....

so new question 5 days split between those three or 6 days at Butte...thanks for the help

Crested Butte is kinda small...i've had friends come to visit me and i've shown them damn near the whole mountain in two days. Its so sick i skied it over 90 days last season and it never got old. If you think you wanna explore alot then go to summit, you'll be able to ski the whole time and not ski the same line more then once. CB is the same way but way more intimate as soon as you think you know the mountain you'll discover hundreds more lines. If its supposed to dump when you come out go to summit leave the powder for me. ;-)
