Creating my own rail park at my local mountain

So some friends and i wanna build our own kinda park in the woods at our moutain. we just kinda want some features that the park wont put in. does anybody have any ideas to get this to be sick. our plan is to kinda cut the shape of it out this summer and build some rails and stuff. any thoughts?
 
Possibly explain in more detail? Like you're just going to go cit some trees down in the woods then put your own rails in? What features do you want?
 
thats sick but if you would put it in the woulds then you;d probably have to hike it all the time. you might as well as put it in your backyard or like your own private park somewhere else. cuz the ski resort might take it down because they;ll have legal rights over the land and shit
 
we r thinking just kinda make it small, rail into a cannon to a rail to some kinda jib at the end. and we would make it pretty far off in the trees and keep it a secret u know so its hard to find and takedown

it isnt going to be on some side of the trail or anything. we want it to atleast a 3 or 4 minute ride into the woods. who ever would go exploring there is dumb basically ahha. i like the blowing up part
 
You're retarded. What happens when there's a huge snowfall one night and people want to ski glades... It's going to be found. Talk to your park crew. Act professionally and composed and they'll definitely listen to your suggestions.
 
not at all, if they put it in some scragly woods that arnt near glades and hard or pointless to ski, no one would find it. at my mountain some people made one in the woods with a fallen tree over a small drop off so it starts level then goes over a hang over. no ski patrol has ever been in those woods...
 
my mountain isnt the best for glades for sure and we are planning on putting it in the kiddy mountain to avoid those types of people anyway. we also want our own kinda place where we can session and stuff. its just adding another place to shred
 
Just build one barely out of bounds there is no way you could get away with your own park. And how would you get the jibs up there?
 
Im gonna give you a freebie here. You realize its ski patrols job to patrol every part of the mountain all day no matter where it is as long as its inbounds. Its called the ski "patrol" for a reason.
 
just build it right out of bounds somewhere in the woods and you are set. sounds like a good deal to me. even if ski patrol found it eventually you wouldnt get in trouble or anything so its not like you have anything to lose

lol, not at my mountain, its a small mountain in ny and there arnt galdes and they dont ever go in there, because no one is even allowed in the deep woods basicly, they have yelled at me for it
 
I still have never understood why people build some sketchy ass 6' rails in a bunch of trees, when perfectly fine, maintained rails are in the park.

There's wood rails all over in the trees at Vail, and they all suck. Super sketchy, with trees in the landings and wobbly.
 
all ya'll are negative. DO IT MAN!! Ski patrol will prolly eventually find it, but I'm sure you'll get some good sessions in and it'll all be worth it before they take it down. If you do have rails, the worst they will do is confiscate them, and then you can ask the mountain to put it in the park. DIY usually works out dope!!!
 
why not just do it in your backyard.

Unless you know how to weld I dont think it would be worth it. Just become friends with the park guys and give them your input on what you would like to see

yea we will be building our own rails to bc we got someone who can weld. its not that the mtns park is bad bc its pretty good. its just that there is so much time that there are complete fags pickin fights and shit.
 
just ignore the people trying to pick fights and ski. The way I see it it will be way to much work for the reward.

Just put it in your backyard.
