When you work out you make little tears in your muscle that heal it's self with more mucles, ie you get bigger and stronger.

What creatine does is fill in those tears with water, so you look like you get bigger faster. Ya you get big and fast, but the moment you stop using it, you loss your mass, and the majority of cells turn back into fat.

You don;t need that shit. Just go to the gym, have a good work out, and stick to it.

if your gonna use creatine. just go with the cheap creatine monohydrate. fuck the supposedly top notch shit like creatine. theres way too much sugar in it which causes insulin spike

u will look big for a few weeks...and not even that defined, just water weight . go on mega whey and lift. its all about lifting, i stopped taking supplements and work out more often have built up alot more than I ever did while on supplements

 
ya for sure it def gives you a good pumped feel and what not but that kid is dead on, its easy to get fat after you use it. i would just stick to protein and glutamine *sp* and if anyone tells you do creatine and NO2, slap them, waste of money.

ive got another version of the pole dangle, its pretty funny too, gets cold when i do it on the lift tho.

Kev - you have no clue what you're talking about.

If you're thinking of using creatine, I suggest you visit some reputable sites to educate yourself on exactly what it does. Creatine helps with muscle recovery, ATP production and can help with explosive movements. It does have a certain water-retention effect, but only to keep the muslces hydrated. Muscle tissue needs to stay hydrated in order to grow (to put it VERY simply).

I recommend using a mix of Whey Protein Isolates/Dextrose as a PWO meal. Dextrose (corn sugar) Causes a spike in insulin levels (helps your body absorb shit) and the whey is VERY digestable form of protein. So if you drink that shit right after your workout when your muscles are begging for fuel, it is the most effective. I've read lots of studies on the effectiveness of a good PWO meal.

creatine is bad, basically helps with water retention in your muscles, making them look bigger. and in the long run can be dangerous. stick to protein. whey is good in the right amounts. just be smart. and everything must be in balance.

if u wana try creatine get "creapure" creatine and try that out for awhile and then make your own decision if you like it or not. i personally do not respond to creatine so its not very useful to me but to some it helps a bunch.

the 2 most important things is to make sure ur getting 1-2 grams of protein per LB of body weight. you can get really good protein powder from http://www.trueprotein.com/store/index.asp for cheap. also make sure u r taking a good multi vitamin pak such as animal pak or http://www.bulknutrition.com/?products_id=851

What I said isnt retarded. What I said is that If you think that creatine does more than just creating a water retention, take something that does the opposite and see what happens. Hens, drinking alcohol is deshydrating your body, so working out on creatine and getting drunk here and there is just showing that what creatine really does is make water muscles, because you wont see a single difference then if you would work out with no creatine...

All these working out short cuts are soo stupid. Kids today really just don't have the work ethic necessary to stick to a natural build. Protein shakes, okay, but taking synthetic elements into your body? I dont think so. There are so many kids on steroids and creatine and all that shit in my school its pathetic. well i've been lifting every other day since last october, eating a good diet with the right amount of protein, taking glutamine to prevent my muscles from deteriating and a lot of cardiac excercise. i just needed some input from people who've used creatine so i could decide whether or not it'd benefit me.

ive made the msitake of buying supplements. i regret everything ive ever bought. i was young and stupid. its simply a huge waste of money to go out and buy a new kind of supplement every month. and as for doing it the natural way. good for you that you wanna do it the natural way i got no problem with it at all but for us who would like to be a mass freak then the only way to go is the powerful shit

ive used it before it does work it gets up pumped up i saw improvements like being alot stronger in 2 weeks but its sux i hated the taste of swallowing sand down...and it makes u REALLY dehydrated overall it was a big waste of money and i stopped using it

 
you have to use it in the proper way and make sure that you are taking other related suplements that are crucial for it to work properly also you have to do the proper training regiment to get full afect all it realy does is help recovery but recovery is probly one of the most important things for an athlete

 
exactly. Your body was made to build up naturally, why take all this crap that is very useless. A lot of physical exercise will get you looking strong in not too much time, and it is the way it's supposed to be. Vitamin C is all right if you are a kid that has a weak immune system but i refuse to take any supplements now unless they are necessary to my body(if it doesnt have enough), and i still play a lot of sports without any problems.

do NOT get creatine monohydrate.that has water retention.go with tricreatine malate.it has minimal water retention.i put 2 inches on my chest in less that 20 days with that shit..try SAN v12 turbo

Yes im well aware of the fact that it is in other foods, but last time i checked, a highly concentrated powder of creatine doesnt exist in nature. What I'm trying to say is that all these things really are scams of the whole fitness world. Supplements like these weren't nearly as widely distributed before the late 90's, but amazingly, people who worked out before supplements were widely distributed still managed to be extremely strong and were very toned in a muscular sense. So What? Why waste your money (supplements aren't cheap) on a powder that will make you look slightly larger for the short term even if you could achieve the results without using it? It just doesn't make sense to me.

ok, in my opinion creatine is a waste of money, like I"m sure has been said it only generates an excess of water weight making you bigger faster basicly but it will also give you a belly if you arnt careful.

protine on the other hand is great though suplimental protine isnt nessicary unless you workout ALOT and are really intent on gaining muscle mass. its very easy to simply up your daily protine intake in your diet without supliments by ofcourse eating alot of protine rich foods, like chicken, beans, fish, nuts are really good too.

instead of taking actual creatine, take a protien shake, like muscle milk or evo pro that increases your bodys natural production of creatine while balancing it out with protiens and other minerals.

bump---I'm going to start taking whey protein again...thinking shake in the a.m. then after lift would help build mass....any advice?
 
i didnt read the other posts, but heres what i know from first hand experience, not some stories that everyone hears

Creatine and whey protein and the two best things you could take when working out

If you take creatine correctly, it will work very well

First of all, take CEE, its absorbed more than any other form and does not cause bloating (water weight that everyone thinks thats all it does).

When you take it, drink a ton of water and work out a ton. dont take it and then hit the gym for 30 minutes or your wasting your time. You need a lot of water as is does saturate your muscles with extra water. If you work out alot when taking it, you will not really have water weight that everyone talks about. you will be muscle, no water. Now obviously some water will still stay. with running and working out, it will be gone in days so its not a long term thing. Thats why the water weight stuff is BS, its not true, it goes away quick and can be prevented completely

also, you have to cycle and not over do it. Cycle it so you dont get your bosy to used to it.

I dont care what anyone says, you look at bodybuilding.com and ask and real body builder, creatine is great IF used correctly. if your not going to use it right, dont bother.
