So, there is this kid in my grade, and his brother is a year older than us and was on my lacrosse team. One day before a school dance, he tried molly, OD'd and tried to kill his brother. His brother in my grade held him off and called the police and he got arrested. He was seriously fucked up and his parents kicked him out of the house. Everyone kind of forgot about him, but today their house got burned down, and then while it was being put out, the neighbors started calling about their houses getting robbed. low and behold, in one neighbors attic, there was the older brother, naked, and fucked up out of his mind. He had burned down his families house out of anger. My town is the quintessential wealthy white person town, plus it is in Maine, so it is even less crazy. When stuff like this happens it just makes one wonder why society is so messed up lately.
 
sadly one of my sisters friends od'd on ecstasy last night, I've done my fucking around with that sort of thing now and it's not cool shit. Sorry for the kid in your grade man, having a family member go batshit insane doesn't help much.

I feel so bad for that family, the parents know what they did to spark the kid though, and thats the shittiest part.

Yeah its so sad. they also can't find their dog, but it's not looking good.
 
damn, sad story. The dude sounds like he was fucked up in the head. I would see this as a mental health story rather than a Molly OD story though. Either way it it sucks. The overall mental health of our society definitely needs some studying and curing.

for real though, that shit's crazy. it sounds like this kid has some serious underlying mental illness that has been exacerbated by drug use. his parents should have gotten him help....not abandoned him.

not to put blame on the parents, but you don't just kick someone out who almost pretty clearly has a mental disorder. you get them help.
 
I've always been tentative about harder drugs purely for the notion that they could trigger some underlying mental illness I've never noticed and fuck me up. I've had it happen to a couple people I know

Yeah I had an experience like this, definitely not something you wanna go through. Lost my freshman year of college.
 
yeah when the first incident happened, the parents should have realized something was up and sent him to rehab/a psych eval place.

ODing on molly sends you into seizures, taking something that isn't molly makes you try to kill your brother, and burn your house down.

Not condoning drug use, or what he did at all. I just really don't think that kid was taking MDMA.

Yup. If he was on MDMA he would have over hugged his brother and had a campfire in his backyard instead.

I agree with this completely, regardless though of the drugs thats very sad/scary. Im not glad to say it but I know some people I would not be surprised at all if they did something like this, and I live in Boise, which is really a pretty happy place. Those inner demons, subset of instinctual emotional responses that some people are more aware of than others. It's just like how some people will be very passive yet have ABSOLUTELY no idea they're even being passive. Im sorry OP that sounds like a situation you wouldnt want to be in.
 
This story sucks

If you OD on ANYTHING you won't be able to kill someone. More like thrashing on the ground at your best.

Damn this is crazy. I spend my summers in Falmouth right down the street from where this went down and this is probably the biggest news to happen in years.
 
Wow that's crazy. I had an aunt get hooked on crystal meth a few weeks ago. She's started shoplifting and God knows what else. I hope her newborn baby is doing ok.
