North Korea has always interested me greatly...it's seclusion from the modern world has created a society of people that are brainwashed by their leader... People are literally living in a fantasy world, that has been described as a society not a day beyond 1940 that has never progressed due to the great measures of seclusion from the outside world. Cell phones are not allowed, computers and the internet are not available, there is anti-american propaganda everywhere throughout the capital, several concentration camps for traitors that disagree with Kim Jong IL, and word is there are hundreds of underground tunnels leading into South Korea if war ever commences. This is scary stuff, and with a million man army of lunatics ready to be unleashed at the drop of a pin, someone is in for a rude awakening.
 


the one thing going for us is their lack of sustenance and technology...Other then Pyongyang, the entire countryside has no food or electricity...a really interesting picture that represents how bad this country is doing is below....The bright spots are lights in South Korea in cities, homes etc...Compare the electricity usage to the North...Crazy pic

honestly, i dont give a fuck if its hypocritical, they are crazy mother fuckers and should not have nukes...neither should pakistan or any other nut country. modern day "diplomacy" and this fairness stuff is still just a disguise over the "balance of power" system that has been dictating country relations for all of history. we may make mistakes, but I believe in United States and what we stand for, and we should still be the ones with power at all times...
 
His kids show no interest in taking control of the country. The past leader lives on and the new one has taken over the same reigns. We watched a video on it and it is crazy stuff. They live in complete awe of their leader, if they don't they "go mising". Everything is blamed on the Americans they have little power so their power goes out everyday "because the Americans turn it off", they have to practice evuatoin drill incase the "American Pigs" invade. Everything good is centered around their leaders and everything bad is centered around America. Crazy nation that now have nuclear weapons proven to explode. They had the whole world on edge with that weather sattelite going up, thought to be testing a rocket to carry the weapons, luckily it can't reach America or Australia. But it's so close to Japan and even if it doesn't reach America it just reaches Japan, America will fire their and the other countries will follow suit ending in a Nuclear War that will wipe the world out. There are enough Nuclear weapons i nthe world now to blow up the world 8 times over.
 
and then while the nuclear war happens, Australia will just stay neutral like Switzerland and we shall live on as the only country left...but then realize that half of the world is missing, making the earths orbit go out of whack and then we float into space, while the earth gets colder and colder, leading to the death of the entire planet...sweeeeeeeeetttt
 
I feel exactly how you do, i've always been fascinated with those fuckers. just seeing pictures the cities look practically abandoned and everything has gone to shit. it seems like everything has been taken away so there's nothing left to do except hate america and prepare an army. it reminds me of a less extreme chernobyl, just creepy bloc type buildings with a bunch of belligerent psychos ready to strike on anyone. it's gonna be one fucked up day if they decide to attack anyone

Funny you should mention that as private travel to North Korea is not alowed. You have to go on a guided tour where they watch what you do every second. You cant bring anythign buy your clothes into the country and a bunch of other fucked up stuff.

North Korea needs nuclear weapons more than any other nation, we have developed a system of have and have not nuclear powers ever since the NPT (non-proliferation treaty) was introduced and have thus created a better among equals status among the states.
Why the fuck does one country have the right to tell another country how to govern itself or what it can build. It is called soveriengty.
North Korea without nuclear arms brings nothing to the international community, and has no voice.
Not to mention the indocrinated ideaology that promotes such thinking as democracy = freedom
both the USA and britain are democratic nations, both have close to zero personal freedoms, privacy and rights. Patriot act anyone?

the north koreans are hardly past the 1950s. their planes, technology, people, EVERYTHING, is like 50 years behind at least. the whole juchism ideology is flawed - no outside help - meaning their development is decades behind...

seriously, you think a country with soviet era planes and a starving population is a threat? pfttt

they'll end up sorting themselves out. whether it be internal turmoil after kim jong-il dies, or they'll starve their populatino to death or whatever. but the point being, unless they make a huge technological advancement i doubt we should be worried.
 
oh, and the only crazy north korean is kim jong il. and perhaps his relatives and commanders, but the general populaton cant be blamed
 
tell me how we are brainwashed to the extent they are? they dont even know a world exists outside of their own. we have unlimited access soooooo much information and knowledge. we could be brainwashed a bit into the western way of work work work but cammon. We are taught about our individual stregths while they are taught about how they are meaningless without their leader.
North Korea brings nothing to the international community, period. Clearly they are a lot messed up in the head (if you dont agree thats fine). any country that closes off their citizens to the world isnt fit to hold any power in my opinion. espec not nuclear power, they dont need/deserve that.
not sure what you are talking about with personal freedoms. what freeomds are you missing out on living in the western world? tell me where else you would choose to live that would be any better. sounds like ur ideas are living in a dream.

first off maybe you should move to North Korea if you feel so strongly about how they are just standing up to power....

We have an uncomparable amount of freedoms here compared to them, thousands of North Koreans attempt to escape North Korea, it is completly un-free and totally an oppresive authoritarian dictatorship. They are a soverign state and they can do what they want that is why they are so oppressive, but nukes are a threat to security for many states, in this case namely South Korea and once a state has nukes it makes it almost impossible to attack them (and in this case with such a rogue government it may be neccessary in the future, they also sell weapons technology to groups that are a direct threat to security in many states). There are lots of states that have a say in the international community that do not have nuclear capabilities, that has nothing at all to do with there lack of involvment in the international community.

Think about how many people you know go to vacation in SOUTH Korea (That aren't Korean, or on Buisness) and you'll understand what i mean.

first of all, im a Canadian, the most free western nation in existance. so im not moving anytime soon. love my country.
it is not up to the americans to assert freedom on other nations, how would the USA have reacted to another nation invading to stop slavery?
these nukes are in no way a threat to the USA, they have no delivery system capable of getting anywhere close.
it is the indoctrination of your nation that has resulted in this fear of a nation that has no real reason to be feared. Not to mention that their nuclear program started back up when the USA stopped helping them develop energy programs.

and all i feel strongly about is that the USA needs to stop telling other countrys what to do, it is one of the most oppressive "Free" nations with much of the populus in prison. Or you can disagree and go bomb another country that is in no way threatening you. it worked out so well last time.
 
exactly, to a point...see that little blip of light? That is the capital, Pyongyang where his die hard loyal supporters and himself live. The little electricity and food that is available via international aid is solely distributed to the capital. The rest of the country is in famine and dying off. It's actually really sad, because the majority of the country are decent people/ indigenous farmers thats little food grown off of the unsustainable lands is taken to the capital while these people are left to starve. In 96 there was 2 million deaths due to famine in the countryside, and they were all dumped in a mass grave to try and hide this knowledge from the outside world.
 
Isn't part of it that they are also responsible for the pollution of rivers which in turn creates a high cancer rate and ruins perfectly good farm land?

Why would anyone give aid to that country? Foreign aid only helps the politically connected in countries with shitty leaders. The best thing we could do for them is not give them anything and hopefully the people will get pissed off and revolt against their government, then maybe the other countries could kind of show them the way so that a decent government could be put in there.
 
aid was part of a UN deal in regards to their nuclear disarmament act that was clearly not held up on their side of the table. The people will never revolt, they are brainwashed and completely in fear.
 
no the nukes arent a threat to the USA... i will give you that, but thats not what is worrying people. its the fact that as soon as North Korea gets nukes they will use them, not on us, but major allies in asia such as Japan, South Korea, and even though China is a scary place they are also an ally of both the USA and your beloved Canada.

and American empire? wtf...... im not big on politics but outside of really Puerto Rico and Guam we dont really "own" anything outside of our own country... somehow we bought Alaska from Russia and Hawaii became ours (dont really know how, or why to be honest)... oh yeah, and fun fact of the day. during the war of 1812 Canada ASKED the USA to invade them and take them over so the British would stop fucking them over but we said no.
 
we may not OWN alot anymore, as in literally occupy/possess it, but we have an insane amount of control and influence in foreign affairs. we claim its all "for democracy" when really its "for democracy, or whatever suits the US best..."
