One of the funnest skis I've ridden. Poppy, stiff, but so playful. Good all condition ski. Super fun in park, but all that rocked makes for a fun time in powder. Took my park through like 2+ feet of pow and they killed. Durability on surface can be iffy, but it's gotten better. And hey you only spend $160 so not too bad!?

Boom! Glad to hear exactly what I was looking for in a new ski. Seems like the perfect east coast one ski quiver. Glad its pretty wide and has some nice rocker to handle the deep.

Iv been riding Surface for 5 years now never had a problem with durability. But Im not a big rail guy anymore.

Just bought these, hope we get good powder again on the east coast! Can't wait, never owned any skis over 90mm. There aren't many reviews online but every one says they're the funnest skis they ever had

i snagged some 179s the other day, i have some oldish rossignol 9 din bindings laying around on some old park skis. im planing on using the outsiders just as a east coast pow ski/all mountain tree ski, should i be fine with the bindings if im not doing park?

okay for all of you that are asking about this ski, just watch and learn:

anyone ski the odyssey? there's a pretty good deal on those too, around 300, in 183 and symmetrical they seem like a great park/fuck around everywhere ski. just dont know if the more mellow rocker would be as fun. I've skiied the one lifes (the older version of the outsider, but camber underfoot not flat) and loved the huge rocker.

damn sold out of the 179's almost kinda debating about the 189's though thats freaking huge.

I bought some 189's. Thanks OP for the heads up!

been riding 184 Devastators, and what is 5 more cm with their wonky ass rocker.

I need to buy a new pair of bindings for these. I've never had to bend bindings but I am curious if a 100 mm binding would be able to bend to conform the 109 mm waist for the Outsider.
