Everyone here gives me shit because I (and everyone I know back in the AK) call "snowmobiels" snowmachines. Am I an idiot, does anyone else call them snowmachines?

In montana we call em sleds. my buddy from ak keeps saying "oh yeah, over spring break my dad and i went snowmachining" and I keep making fun of him. it just sound weird. but yeah everyone I know from ak says snowmachine and everyone i know from the midwest.

From alaska and I also call them snowmachines, I think its also pretty common in canada and maybe someplace random like Montana, but yea, everywhere else its snowmobiles. And if you're around people "in the know" then obviously the prpoer term is sled
