Crashing

Does everyone else have the same problem as me? Is crashing on skis not really painful.. like when I crash trying a trick I am usually a bit more tentative the next time I try something, or if its really bad I'll just stick to stuff I know I can throw for the rest of the day. Maybe its just me but whatever tell me what you guys think... I wish I could have no fear.

A Bad bail will def hurt your confidence.

Just get better and go at it again, what do you have to lose?

i dunno whats wrong with me but i get mad at myself when i fall so i keep trying the trick untill i land it. I usually sustain some pain but nothing tylonal or advil can't handle haha

yeah, I have to agree with you, when I am committed to landing a trick I really want to land I will usually do it until I get it

it doesn't matter how many times I bail, but it has to be something I really want to accomplish

whenever i consistanly fall on a jump i usually get out of the park for a little while to clear my head. i hate constantly trying and failing.

i lose confidence after a bad crash..... last weekends crash GAVE ME A SWOLLEN(oops) brain. and a 8 day long head ache... so that sucked... and yes after i bail really hard i loose confidence and i need ppl to tell me im being a pussy and to suck it up.. darryl usually does a good job of that. and well dave did too but he doesnt exist anymore...

i hate falling. pisses me off soooooooooo much. unless i'm just doing oldschool stuff off a little kicker, then it's fine.

Hmmm... dedpends on the severityf the trick and the circumstances. Sometimes... if I'm feeling good... the fall will make me want to do itmore. but if i'm real laid back and mellow, it'll justt scare me and make me puss out and do grabs.

suck it up Cryss. Watch the video of you falling a million times. you won't make the same mistake that way. Just keep spotting your spin. because you just started spinning and took the landing like a champ.

But anyways yeah whenever I hurt myself on a rail I really take a step back. I think that I was really close to really hurting myself. but on jumps it's different because I know that I can always just underrotate or whatever. You have to fully commit to a rail though.

falling doesn't really hurt that much, it just pisses me off. but once you fall a lot you get to be a pro faller, like me!!

bunch of f**kin' savages in this town

If Im not hurt to bad to ski still I usually try it a few more times, usually until its to painful to ski. Usually after a fall I ask myself how am I going to progress if I quit after one fall, or I say what little girl, too scared to try again? (sorry CK)

i dont mind falling when im trying something new or bigger, I'll most likely get up and try it again. I usually get pissed when i fall on something simple though....that pisses me off

sometimes i forget w/c head im sposed to think with.

i dont mind falling i just hate falling hard, i had the worst fall of my life last weekend, i went to throw my second 900 of my life and my ski came off so i stopped spinning in the air and when horizontal and i was so high and came down so hard on my back and i lost everything, my touqe my goggle my head phone my pole my mitts and my skis...it was brutal, it kinda is a set back but i'll just work my way back up to it

Use the twenty minute rule! No matter what, do the same trick over and over for twenty minutes, hike the tabel whatever, you'll get it after twenty minutes(or in most cases)This has always worked in my case

all i do is crash, so I've gotten used to it. Unless it's a really really bad crash, I don't usually get scared.

yeah, if its bad i get kinda weery of jumping...but yeah i do the 20 minute rule too...but its usually over a day...i dont stop trying until its stomped

usually it doesnt hurt after a few seconds.

Falling sucks...especially when they hurt really badly. I typically keep trying until I fall too much because I am pissed and tired...then the next day I seem to be able to stick it (visualization). I take a step back on rails (esp since I am learning...) and when my skis fall off before I actually fall...that shit sketches me out and I am not confident going into jumps...

nothing a couple beers and captin and coke doesn't fix...

falling scares me. i'm not worried about the actual pain part, just the whole idea. it doesn't make sense, and its not really as bad as it sounds the way i just said it. i don't really mind falling on new stuff, just tricks i know i should be able to stick every time, like 3s

i ate shit yesterday on the hill. went for a switch rodeo, but i popped way to early so my tips hit the lip of the take off 'causeing me to just fly off balance.. landed backwards on my back, whiped my head into the ground... headache, whiplash... didn't hit the table for about 30min to get my nerves back up - than I was all good again.
