Crashes Skiing/Snowbaording

After watching both of tanner's and dumont's crashes, i realized that you never really here about any snowbaorders getting hurt like this. Is there more risk in skiing or are skiers just going harder or does it happen in snowboarding and i just don't hear about it

Seriously that honestly freaked me out, showing that and some footy of him where he had to be carried around.... I can't beleive he's even skiing let alone skiing pipe at x and winning.
