Whats your best crash story? mine consists of a jump onto the roof of an a frame maintnence building, overshooting it, and landing in 2 inches of ice on the other sid e after an 11 ft drop.

 
skiing a canyon of palmer snowfield at mt hood. come off e windlip like i had done may times beofre that run to land on a powdery slope but instead dropped 15 ft onto a flat sheet of ice. i though i broke both of my legs
 
Two months back...Stevens Pass terrain park...I was hitting a couple of the smaller jumps and feeling pretty good. Hit the biggest jump in the park, hit another...by this time I was hauling ass and decided to hit the last kicker at full speed...bad mistake. I severely overshot the landing, bailed in mid air and crashed and burned. I was out cold for a few seconds and then realized where I was. My gear was probably 100 ft above me, scattered all over. I broke a few boot buckles and fucked up my thumb and face after that one. My thumb has never been the same.
 
i have a few bbut i really only remember two good ones

one time when i first hit a jump when i was...9 or so i overshot the jump by 20 feet and cracked my ski

then last season in utah, first day of vacation, i was pumping over these little humps, sort of moguls and all of a sudden the ground dropped away and i fell 10 feet into a ice river, and iwas goin pretty fast. im lucky that i only broke my thumb and not my leg or a wrist
 
mine is really stupid....me and my bro jus got to hv and we were jus skiing some easy groomers that night....on the side of one of the trails there was little bumps that cant like get air over...u kno??? well ne ways there was one that went down then bak up pretty quicky and both my skis popped off on the way up and i did a complete front flip and landed on my bak...haha it was funny but i got the wind knockced outta me..i wish i had a camera
 
The most debilitating crash happened when I was carving switch on a cattrack that led to the bunny hill. I was going in for lunch after a great morning, and when i was leaning left, i thought i heard someone call my name off to the side. I looked over, lost my balance when my ski caught in a edge and fell onto the packed snow, impacting on my right thumb. I pretty much destroyed the joint, it swelled like crazy and I couldnt hold anything in my right hand for a week. Certainly the most debilitating crash I've had.
 
i had a really stupid crash, i was warming up for the day on the skier x course and i had never skied it before so i didnt know where it was going, it got into the rollers section and the last 1 didnt look to big so i pop an ollie off it, it was a bad idea the ground just fell away and i flat bottomed it. i didnt really injure myslef just hurt my back a bit.

O yeh and then the last day in Les deux alpes there was a big group of us heading down to the park and we came to a corner and so i cut the corner by going above evryone 1 else, then i dropped off a ledge thing to get back onto the main slope, but it kicked me and i ended up landing in the middle of evryone. i fell and about 2 people hit me in the back and another 3 double ejected and went flying down this steep powder hill. It was actually one of the most stupid things ive ever done.
 
mine was just as embarrasing as it was painful. i was at the VT open last year but i didnt sign up for the rail jam ( i was signed up for slope and pipe) but i poached the course during training. i hit the lipslide rail and got that so i decided to move up to the gap box. everybody was making it and i asked people how it was and they said you dont really have to worry about the gap. so, i hit it. i think i wasnt straight on or sometihng. so, i fly forward on the gap and slide down the stairs on my stomach. i was pretty winded and embarassed to fuck it up in front of all those guys. but later that night i won a free pair of crichtons in the raffle so it was all good.
 
im terrible at judging speed, so when i was at smuggs and it was my first run hitting the jumps through the park, i let dweezil go first. he just bombed it from the f d rail (for everyone familiar with smuggs) and severely over shot the first jump on the left. from my position though, i thought he made it perfect, so i followed suit. turns out i did the same exact thing as him and i completly overshot the landing. it was spring though so neither of us got hurt, but it was funny as hell that both of us took a 25' table 50'.
 
i was doing 7's all morning over the biggest hit at bachelor, like 65ft, and when i came back from lunch my friend wanted me to show him. i didnt carry enough speed and knckled sideways and ended up in the hospital with a serious concussion and a severe sprained neck, plus stiches in my lip. i actually dont remember any of it, but my friend told me.
 
i was coming up for a natrual hit that is really big and i had never hit it in that spot before. so my freind goes first and 3s it cuz hes been hitting all morning. so it looks like he didnt go that big but from wear i was standing i couldnt see the whole thing becuase there was a big avalanche gun in the way. so i come up to hit going a little fast than him,(this is a flat take off) and so im balanced, in the middle of my skis. and so i pop, and it turns out it was bigger than i thot, so i went around 40 feet but by this time the ground was really steep so i lande dback seat and due to my salomon bindings i double ejected and ragdolled about 75 feet. rebruising my calf bone
 
learning switch 5 truck drives and landing on one of my hands and then falling face first into my knee and breaking my nose, or trying a backflip and landing on my chest in powder, the only bad part was my whole upper body got trapped under the snow, but my boys dug me out
 
i was waiting for my friends to show up and i was hitting our 1/4 pipe and i was gunning most of the hill. the resort was making snow on the hill and i decided to go right throu the "made" snow. well little did i know it was hella wet and i ate it hard did a couple of cart wheels ( with my skis and gearstill on like when u do a flip in deep pow) and when i got up i ..i had no idea what happen until a random kid told me how hard/cool i bailed
 
and there was the time when i was in vail. it was my 2nd day ever out west. i hit up their park at the end of the day and cased it on a seven. the whiplash made my knee hit my chin and i had to get stitches. kinda ruined my trip but im sure its not as bad as some of the things other people have done.
 
i havnt had any real bad crashes but i was backcountry skiing with my dad and we were about three miles away from the hut we were stayin at for a week, we were skining up through this call and got to the top no body wanted to be the first to hit the line cus it was hella steep and didnt look very safe so my dad decided he would go first, we went about 3 turns down and stopped and stuck his pole in the snow and it made that big drum sound you hear when an avanlanche is about to happen, he knew wat was going to happen so he just went as lightly as he could trying not to make the avalanche start, unfortuantly about one turn later the avalanche came, about a quarter mile around all the snow was coming down towards my dad, he tried to ski it out but didnt make it and was flipped around and thrown way down the hill he ended up with only his head out of the snow and we dug him out, if it was his feet above the ground he wouldda been dead, one of his skis was fine but the other one had broken into three parts and his backpack was totally ripped apart, we gathered his gear and he skiied back to the hut on one ski, i thought he was gonna die.
 
critical 3 over a 20 footer. overrotated and headed right toward a 2 foot ball of ice w/ some 6 inch ones before it. i couldnt have turned or stopped so imy instinct was to try to hop over it. instantly one of my skis poped off, and my foot nailed the 2 ft iceball. flew over 30 feet while doing a misty 5 with only 1 ski on. landed on my shoulder on a solid dirt patch.

i was going at a decent size hip and went to 3 but i spun rite and the landing was on the right and so i spun mi self way to far right adn sideways so i landed flat aftaer falling about 15 to 20 feet straight down onto mi arm and broke it. hurt like a bitch
 
ok i was rocking down the hill and i went switch because i thought i was cool, but then my friend pushed me cause hes an asshole and i went flying into the woods from like 30 feet up, broke 3 ribs dislocated sholder, tore rotary cuff, pierced a lung (with the rib) level 4 concussion and a hip pointer, it hurt a litle i guess
 
i was going down a trail with some snowboarder friends and decided to show off by doing that craig coker doggy style tip grab thing. I was going fine and then kinda lost by balance so i lifted my torso up, and my skis inside edges caught and i did a huge split falling forward straight onto my face with my skis sticking out sideways in a split.
 
I was at sunshine yesterday and they had a wall that you couldn't get enough speed for. So I go from the same place I always go and for some reason I get way more speed. I jumped up onto the top, then fell off the back head first and smashed my knee into my face.
 
not the best on but i was skiing in switz. in march so t-shirt weather and i flew off this knoll into and unknown to me mogul feild and had a complet yard sale..... not to menton 3 of us did this at the same time so it must of looked good from the lift
 
Plain and simple I was tucking and steep run, caught a pile of snow at the top of the second pitch, went sideways for about 15ft. and then did an uncountable amount of ragdolling 300+ft. down the trail until I slid to a stop on the edge of the woods. I don't much of what happened during the crash, I had to talk to my friends who saw it haha.
 
I was cruising realy fast down a blue run and saw a couple of rollers at the bottom of the run. So I try to gap it doing a 180 and cased on the last one. Lost my balance and slammed into a light pole. Thank god they have big cushion things!
 
1) Jumped off a 12ft ish shed roof, didn't get the landing right so knee'd myself in the head +nearly knocked myself out.

2) Random ejection out of skis in powder, lost 1 ski for about 2 hours of searching.
 
this wasnt so much painful just funny,

I was doing a jump line that went about 45, 50, 60, 50 foot step over, and so im going and i clear the first one but i land on edge, which slows, me down. I had been having trouble getting enough speed all day but i was like fuck it, ill just jump really high and make it, so i get to the lip pop as high as i can and i see that i am going to land right on the knuckle in the like iciest part ever, so im in the air and start flailing and i yell out, O SHIT. I come down hit the knuckle which makes my pants fall off, and then i slide down the landing getting snow all down my pants
 
I was skiing on the runout at bluesky Basin (the really flat part that you have to take to get back to the lift)

but anyway, I was cruisin along, kinda zoned out, because it's real easy and flat, and all of a sudden, some 50 year old gaper lady comes flying out of the woods and rams straight into me. after we get all untangled, she says to me "you really should watch for people coming out of the trees" and skis off. I almost chased her down and threw her off a cliff, but I took another run instead
 
i was hitting a rail that went up and then you didn't launch of the end of it but you got off on a butter pad thing and then you jump off that yeaaaaaaa going up the rail i really don't remember but i fell off the rail and hit my shoulder into the wall. seperated my right shoulder
 
its not mine its my friends. ther was this little girl who was stuck at the top of one of the fingers at Heavenly. being the nice kid he is went in to help her. once he got ther she skied off. he started hiking out and stepped into a little hole and his ski came off. he started rolling and went off a 20+ft cliff. the ski patrol had to repel to get one of his skis and he had to get taken out on a sled.

Another friend of mine somehow ran into a tree on a super flat run. two kids (one was from the prior story) saw him in the tree shaking and snoring. one says "plug his nose see if hes faking it" he was helicoptered out and was in a coma for like 2wks. wen he woke up he bit the nurse's nipple and is now slightley retarted.
