Crash At Candide Jib Session

the kid is gabriel gallardo and i think he's only about 14... norwegian, if i remember right.

he was unconscious for a while and it was pretty sobering while they were working on him before being ambulanced outta there.

dont know any recent updates, but the day after the word was no super serious injuries... hopefully that was accirate, cause it's painful to watch.

not long after he was gone a snowboarder just about landed a double back off that same jump.. ballsy.
 
yeah seriously, lots of injuries coming out of candides event this year. first candide, now this one...

our sport is getting outta control. there would have been a death at JOI if the guy who overshot the jump wasnt japanese too!
 
that was onto the fucking road. Holyshit. that may have been as bad as candide's underjump. Road always hurts more than snow, even if its really packed
 
That is some raw carnage. The level of the sport is progressing so fast, shit needs to be calculated to the fullest or people will die. It's crazy how much instant empathy you feel for a fellow skier when they go down. + vibes to that kid along with Candide.
