All right, anyone who lives in Ottawa knows that Camp Fortune has some serious issues when it comes to parks and such. Last year they spent $15000 alone on producing snow for a pipe that was incrediably shitty (you can thank ski schools who bring in 30 kids at time to go hal way up the pipe. They had 3 rails that everyone had fun on for the first week but then just got so sick of. Thats why i suggest that Camp Fortune should create a season 'park' pass. Think about for some small amount of money you could have well maintenaed jumps and rails and you wouldn't have to worry about hosers and ski schools coming in and and destroying everything. Then they could creat a park for all the kids and people that don't necessarily take it as serious. Opinions

 
i assume u arnt in CCR cuase there has been some xtensive talk about this and how they may acctually get some kool stuff this year cause yeah my boss from my summer job is trying to get some stuff built for them cuase he works there and then they would have to buy it and such....in his plans are 3 cheese wedges, a 8ft high 12ft wide wall, c-boxes, kinked boxes tones of boxes and so on

Fortune has issues with the park for 2 reasons. First, it is a hill dominated by racers, owned and ex-national team racer, and gets much of its revenue from race programs. Many of the kids who ride the park come up, scam a pass, and don't buy anything in the cafeteria, while the racer kids have rich mommies and daddies who throw money at them.

Second, Fortune also has a large population of school groups and beginner skiiers, who have no concept of what to do in the park or park safety. As a ski patroller at Fortune, I spent a lot of last season tryin to keep retards out of the pipe and from killing themesleves on the crappy tables that were built. The only way to make a real hardcore park would be to pay soemone to hang out at the top (a la tremblant), ensuring that riders had a helmet and werent idiots. Then we might see soem decent sized hits there.

why do you put so much effort into getting fortune a good park. Just accept that no matter how hard you try it will still suck and go ski tremblant.

If you live in Ottawa you are crazy to think tremblant is a waste of time over fortune. Fortune is for gay fuckers... Yes its nice to head up there after a nice snowfall but you'll never see me there otherwise...

TREMBLANT every sunday 15 bucks there and back 5 dallar membership fee.....Your crazy..

ok. so...no wallride this year, but its true, the park manager mike hull is busting his ass trying to make a decent park for once. believe me, do not blame him if it doesnt get done, fortune is really old and difficult when it comes to new things like terrain parks and such.

oh and ps...suprisingly they do not make much money at all from the racing program...wierd but true.

Let me guess... this year they are going to have a Super pipe too ehhh, that would make an excellent addition to their 'Pro' park. lol..... Maybe they'll by a chopper and we'll get to go helli skiing.. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAA..... from the bunny hill!!!!!!!!!!!

tremblant really isnt too far. I can make it to the hill in under 2 hours... its too expensive...for non season pass holders.

I left from EV at 7:00 and got to Avila at 9:00 so its pretty close and the park is sick, especially that monster haindrail/c-box set up from Shakedown last year cant wait till its set up
