But i take shit all the time when i don't ride my twins in the park. Like if i ski my old skis, which carve way btter,a nd handle the pow better, I get shit for being in the park wihtout em. People need to grow up and stop worrying about other peoples gear. Ski, we all do it, we all love it, so just enjoy it

I know it may be a strange idea to some but perhaps some people can only afford (or only get to the snow enough) to justify one pair of skis. Therefore they have to use them in all conditions...

yea well i have chronics and im pretty much still a beginner..but not a poser because at least im progressing and trying, and thats what its all about..progression thorugh work. and my helly hansen jacket was onlY $100 and keeps me warm bitch.

yeah, i blow as of now, and i ride really nice gear. i can ski great, but i cant really ski switch or do any tricks yet, but im working on it. i bought some pollards because they will definatley be easier to learn on then the mavericks which were about 25cm too small on me. so basically i bought this stuff so it would be possible to try stuff.

yeah but for kids like i know that think there good and are oviously not. they brag about their skills but they suck. everyone trys to be nice about it and kinda go along with it but after a while u just cant.

Im not great at park. I can do some stuff and it seems this year i dont really care about getting hurt, so that will help my progression. I have some fucking nice skis that ski switch great, are good in powder and so on. I guess the thing is that im good at anything aside from park so i wanted one pair of nice skis. if i was a park rat, im sure my old Skogens would be fine, but for skiing nice powder runs are steeps, I enjoy my High Societys very much, and they are just as good if not better in the park then my old Skogens.

Nice twins really only help if you are already good at the park. For instance i learned rails and basic jumps, 360s 540s on my rossi 4s straight skis. Mogul racing skis. after that i jumped up to vinnie dorion 1080s when i could actually utilize the features of them. I like my new scratches so far...

I dont give a crap what beginner looks like, does, or cant do until it affects me. Like when a snowblader falls and takes you out with him, or when some kid who shouldnt be on a jump wrecks himself and the jump is closed until they can cart him off. So long as people stick to their ability level, I'm happy.

yeah im pretty much a begginer at this, and i was up at boyne over break, and a couple guys who were alot better then me were pretty cool, and started helping me out with rails, it was pretty sweet.

its always the distinction between poser and beginner that should be made clear: if a kid in the park is trying, but not that great and has better gear then you, you should help him out, he is beginning; but if a guy shows up with all the newest stuff and doesn't try or do anything, and brags about stuff, then he would be a poser so leave him to is own pitiful world...

just let the new kids try, and its cool if they can learn with the best gear...

not trying to talk too highly about myself, but i can definitely say that any time i see someone whos worse than me in the park or anywhere on the mountain, i respect them and try to help them out, unless they are an asshole, ive seen kids be dicks to people who are trying rails for the first time for basically no reason, it kind of pisses me off because these kids arent that great in the first place and being a dick to kids who want to get into our sport makes no sense, if you want our sport to grow and if you want professional skiers to make more money, then help kids out and try to get people involved with the sport, even if its some older racer as long as that person is chill then why not help them out

i like that defenition between a beginner and a poser and i think that people should take that into consideration before u start making fun of them cause they such. i havent really run into that this season so far most poeple this year seem pretty chill

 
i've seen some awesome park skiiers on beat up carving skis. i give them that much more respect for having to go it out on shitty gear.

i have Ar5s and P12 jibs..im not a great park skier-i can only throw 3s,1s,switch1,zeros,grabs etc. but im a sick all mountain skier..Whys it matter if bad skier spend a lot of money as long as they enjoy what theyre doing?

 
Yeah i thiink most snowboarders just hate gay little racers in spandex...which is understandable...i mean freeskiing has progressed so much and kids are tearing it up and i think that deserves and gets alot of respect

I dunno- it pisses me off when kids have armada's and oakley clothes and 1080 boots and can't even do a 180. you used to be able to tell what kind of skier people are by there skis but now people ski the bunny hill on pocket rockets. what is the world coming to?

i still ride on my old carve skis now and then. and a lot of people talk....specially boarders...i mean shouldn't they not know anything about skiers since they're boarders? wtf.... anyway its really not about your gear, its about you, your skiing, and practicing. Screw everyone else.
