Craigslist Afterbangs or Evo Step Ups?

I found some 2012 Afterbangs with bindings on Craigslist. The guy is asking $230. But then there is the 2011 Step Up with bindings deal on Evo for $280. I'm selling my paintball gun to get money for skiing this year and am thinking about getting new skis. I'm 6 foot and 160. I have 2011 Afterbangs but 165 and short so I think I'll just use those on a summer set up and new ones on actual snow. What do you guys think I should do?

gear talk... but i personally wouldn't recommend either. I demoed afterbangs and wasn't crazy about the skateboard deck construction. I can't imagine my opinion of the step ups would be much better. You can find better deals for better skis imo

stepup for sure. Evo is a legit site, you can return them, and they will be new

The stepups are extremely stiff compared to the aterbangs, i rode on afterbangs for a year and then took some stepups out. It was like night and day, if you like stiff skis, stepups if you like buttery sot skis, afterbangs.

Stepups, and if your 6 ft you need a waaayyyyy bigger ski than 165

im 5'9 ride 181 park skis. I would highly suggest you get a bigger size hahaha.

^Some people like to do sexually elicit things with farm animals. Does that make it right? Unless you're riding lizzies or shamans, I can't think of any reason why a 6'3" person would benefit from riding 171s. To the OP, get the stepups. Pay the few extra bucks and get new skis that haven't been used before while at the same time supporting a super cool, locally based, legit ski shop and have the option of returning them if they're not your favorite.
