Cracking skis ???

Hey guys, i'm new on this site and i joined because i felt like i needed some consesus from the freeskiing community. I bought a pair of 2013 Line chronics this season, i've had em' for about 1 and a half months, 2 days ago i took a crash and don't really remember how it happened, all i know if there is the top layer (design and cosmetics) has a crack that spread out a little, now when i flex the ski, about a couple cm's around the top layer lifts a little less than a millimeter. I know what your thinking "shit happens, park skis are meant for abuse" i completely understand that, however, when i line the ski's up the front end on my left ski (damaged one) has about 1 to 2 cm's more rise than the right one in the front.. SO my question is the following. Does anyone think my ski has internal damage ? or will it still hold up to alot of abuse ?

Thanks for reading !

Nick

Probably when sending em back, best to be vague about how it happened and your park use. Some companies won't warranty your shit if you fucked it up on a rail or jump.

I've heard Line is good about it though

Friend of mine broke some lines a few years ago, said she cracked um bashing off a mogul, that might be a good thing to say. Good Luck hopefully they hook you up with some nice new shredsticks or atleast fix um.

Depends on the cracking: multiple, thin, horizontal cracks on tips and tails means the protective coating cracked. Thats ok, dont worry.

Long vertical crack from the base of the tip to the 3rd of the ski means a cracked core. This is under warranty.

Take them to a shop and ask, expect second and third opinions though.

that sucks man, but definetly bring it to your local shop and ask them or send pics to line,

good luck!

Good luck, something like that happened to my bros 2011-2012 masterminds top sheet split from the core. Hope line is nice cause they usually are!

Thanks for the advice, i sessioned a ABS pipe rail my buddy has and a small jump set up for a film project, the skis seem to be holding up, worst case scenario i've got my 2012 Salomon Suspects in the basement if my chronics get fucked up more, do u reckon they'd still be warranty'd if i just rode em til i broke them ? My friend who is the assistant manager at the shop i bought them from told me that it's not a big deal, they're still rideable and i should just not bother with sending them back for the moment and if it gets a bit worse then i should really stop riding them and send them back. What's your opinion ?

Thanks

if you want to warranty them, dont keep riding them. it will make them look way more abused and they wont do anything about it.

since were on this subject, i bought some armada ar7's about two weeks ago and a chunk of the base has come out already, is that possible a factory malfunction? also the tops heet really scratches easily.

Line is super good about this. I broke a pair of new Afterbangs last year is a very embarassing manner (will not disclose) Sent them an email and within 3 weeks they had shipped a new pair to local shop and I was riding a new set with no charge
