Not a cheap fix it looks like. I have a 13" 2011 MacBook Pro and the screen got busted on it.

Anyone have any recommendations/referrals/good experiences to share about the best way to get this fixed in a somewhat cheap way?

It fuckin sucks how it's so expensive to fix it so they automatically get you to look at buying a new computer completely. Would like to keep this one.

Let me know what you guys know. Thanks!

If Apple wants to charge you an absurd amount of money to fix the screen, copy your hard drive, sell it, and then buy the late 2012 they still have on their website. It's undoubtably the best MacBook ever made

That's hardly true, my screen was broken on my to shiva laptop and it cost almost $500

you got ripped off. You can get a new screen for less than 100 bucks for almost all laptops and install it yourself in maybe an hour without knowing much about computers.

literally no one gives a fuck if you own a mac or pc, but continue thinking that owning a pc makes you better

Shut the fuck up. If the price of replacing his MacBook screen is nearing the price of a new computer why not buy a pc where you get more bang for your buck? Nobody said anything about pc being better. Its just an option for op to consider.

lol how the fuck do you break a mac book screen

i picked my girlfriends up by the corner of the screen one time and it cracked the glass diagonally clear to the other side. so i slipped it back in her bag, didnt tell her, and i think we broke up about a week later.

Why apple won't put on more durable glass on their phones/computers/ipads still blows my mind and seems like such a simple fix.

I have an iphone and Ipad and the first thing I bought is the most heavy duty case on the market. Don't care it its a little bulkier or heavier im not dealing with staring at a cracked screen because my phone fell accidentally.

when i broke my screen it cost me around 300 bucks to replace the screen. Don't know what computer you can buy that rivals a mac for 300 bucks but if you've found a computer for 300 bucks please let me know.
