Cracked full tilts

Bucled my boots after skiing today, noticed a crack on the back panel of the boot. Both of the boots have the same crack in the same spot. They are from 2015 and have been skied for 3-4 seasons. They are on their last year before retirement. Would they last me out the season? Or should i see if i have some homies that could borrow me some spare parts?

I've heard of people drilling a hole a cm or two from the end end of the crack to prevent the it from spreading further, but they were usually in a different part of the shell, like on the lower clog by the instep. Seeing as how yours is on the cuff, I wouldn't bother drilling any holes and just stop skiing in them altogether...

Yeah, sorta wondering if i should just buy new boots now instead of in the fall. Have been thinking about some sort of metal piece that would go over the crack and keep it in check for the time being.

Ski shops are probably starting their late/end of season sale in a few weeks, so there's that. If you wait until the start of next season, you're probably looking at paying full price. Kind of a shitty timing for this to happen :/

Yeah, i have some backup boots that i will be riding for now. Will probably check by my local ski shop for some new boots. Kinda don’t have the money atm but i’m pretty set on going to a bootfitter
