My buddy has a cracked edge on his 05 fujis (second gen, the wood ones)
What would you all suggest (besides staying off rails, not skiing on them, etc) to keep them from coming apart more? I don' think there is any delam yet.
i have 7 cracks on one edge and im not doing shit about it except trying to slam them to how many i can get on one edge before i buy new skiis next year
my 04/05 PE's have one edge on each ski that has multiple breaks....4 on one ski, 5 on the other. There's about a one inch piece of edge that is compressing the sidewall and kind of bowing out away from the base of the ski. It'll probably fall out soon.....point is, I've been riding them this way all of this season (35 days) and some of last season, and they've still remained intact. I'm sure they'll be fine for a while
if you grind over the crack, it will probably help it, im being serious. when you grind, friction results, producing heat, which melts metal.......hence, you have made a soddering iron
yea on my pubs, i have designated a right and left ski since i got them a while a go. there are 3 cracks on the inside edge of my right ski. all directly underfoot. i have been skiing on it alot and nothing happens. i should probably switch my right and left ski.
Yea, I was just wondering what everyone thought. They are my friend's skis.
I had 2 cracks last year that resulted in a delam, then water getting into my core and my ski breaking. I know that if they delam you have to seal it, but i thought maybe there was something else that could help. Thanks everyone.
