if i have a cracked edge underfoot whare i grind how much longer do my skis have befor i will start having problms or will it not make a diffrence?

Ski your skis till they break, edges are not important.

Someone said you can fix the edge, I've worked at my local shop for the past 6 years, and I have yet found a way to fix the edge, but if there is a way.. please post it.. it would be great information to have.

Almost every pair of twins I own has craked edges, that usually comes from leaning too far back when you slide if it is only on one side of your ski from what I understand. However, I have never had any problems, they will not be quite as responsive on like groomers as they would have been if they have perfect edges but no biggie.

I have your solution!
Don't do rails. Honestly, in doing rails, its bound to happen. Don't fight it. Just grind as smoothly as u can. U can rotate ur skis like someone above said, but other than that, its not a big deal. I railed alot on my lines with cracked edges, and i snapped my ski before i could even start to tear my edge out. In fact, i took a knife and still had a rough time moving my edge.

cracked edge is no big deal... there really isnt a way to fix a cracked edge, just an edge thats pulled out entrely.... and when you fix that you use a dremmel, cut out the portion of the edge that was fucked, along with a portion of the base in that area, then you get repacement edge, cut it to fit the gap, screw it in, and base patch over the top of it. bam good as new.

so how easy is it to rip out a cracked edge..... i would probly just leave it insted of riping apart my ski if i dont need to
