Cracked Car Battery.

So, last week my car battery cracked while on the highway and spewed all of the sulfiric acid all over the place. It even burned a 4 inch diameter hole in my wheelwell that looks like a fucking shotgun hole.. sexy right?

Anyways.. the batt was 6 months old. I took it back to Kragen's and they were like WTF. I dont know if we can warrentee this.

I literally had to call the company who imports them from denmark to make sure they would...

either way... pretty crazy. Just thought I'd share. Doubt anyones ever heard of a battery CRACKING.
 
I wonder if you have a claim to any damage caused to your engine bay from the acid - as a result of the faulty battery casing (which it sounds like it must be!)
 
^^^ call a lawyer, that shits not safe, the company you claled is probably trembling now. Just call up a lawyer and discuss what you could do with it. Thats most def the best call
 
yeah totally. he will sue, they will offer an out of court settlement totaling .06%of what they spend on toilet paper a year, which will just barley cover legal fees. in the end the only "winner" will be the lawyers.
 
It was warrenteed.

And My car isnt really worth the time i'd lose in trying to sue anyone.

Its 21 years old. Its a Volvo. Its Brick Red. Its Brick SHAPED. It sucks. lol.
 
emotional stress of you life passing before your eyes as your car revined out of control as you lost all power and reponsivness from your car, which all stemmed from this faulty battery lol
