Cracked bindings...

So a few days ago i hit a rail at keystone. no burrs or anything, but half way down the fucker my ski just explodes the hell off. now im like, "meh shit happens", and i do a little 180 over a roller, and BAM!!! no more ski. so im looking at the heel piece and the steel track that the binding moves on is crack the fuck in half. and the other one is starting.

so now i get to buy new bindings, and i have to buy new boots, or else they wont mount the bindings because my old ones are to worn out and they dont have a replacable heel. fuck. at least i was planning on buying SPKs soon anyway...

a little to old, but we are gonna send em in anyway because me and the shop guys think theyll probably replace them anyway because of the nature of the damage.

and those are the ones i have.

i havent seen very many other bindings in the park other than solomon and rossi/look, and usually they are broken in someway or another, but mine didnt even stay on my feet AT ALL.

you know, some of that could have to do with your worn out boots. there is a reason the shop won't mount anything with your current boot. when they're worn that badly, they won't release properly.

yeah i know. i was actually expecting them to tell me i needed new boots. but thats definately not what made them crack.

yeah, i figured. i was really confused because he appeared to be bashing the rossi bindings, which i don't get because from what i hear they're damn solid.

as far as the worn out boots it is just a safety thing that affects din settings and shops legally cannot do it!

it would have absolutely nothing to do with the binding breaking!

as for the tool who said look/rossi blows

tanner hall...fks

pep fujas...fks

chris benchetler ....p12

michelle parker ....p12

anthony boronowski...fks/p14

stefan thomas

max peters

eric hjorleifson

all on rossi bindings none of them ride for rossi!

I was up at keystone last night with spencer and almost everytime i landed switch, one of my skis popped off and i ended up breaking two brakes because no one has come up with a good binding that allows brakes to work when you eject going switch. i don't know why my skis were coming off because my din is set at 7 and i always landed it pretty clean. any ideas?

you might wanna turn your din up some. mines at like 8 or nine, and im pretty sure im smaller than you...what bindings do you have?

and my bindings DID get warrantied. finally. yay for extra parts!!!

turns out that my forward pressure wasn't tight enough. i have rossi axium 300s and the have a plate that moves the whole heel piece forward instead of a screw. i got new boots from when i had them mounted so they were too far back for my new ones. i moved it up and changed my din to 9 and haven't had any problems since.

but that was a really frustrating night, as i'm sure you can imagine...
