"C.R. continues in rehab doing physical, occupational and speech therapy every day," said C.R.'s dad in an e-mail. "He is having some difficulty coming to grips with his circumstances which is that he has to relearn even the most mundane daily moves like getting up and standing, etc," he said. In a way, this is a good thing because it shows signs of a healing brain.

"We are hopeful that within three weeks we can bring CR home where he will continue therapy in Reno and in Truckee."

I have a funny feeling that he will not come back to the X-games in a long time.

I still hope he gets through rehab without any problems.

yea slow down talking about the x games, but i can definately see a triumphant return of cr in like 3-4 years

i think he would be stoked just to be able to remember the little things in life like chewing food and drinking water

wow, theres so much we take for granted. i was watching cr's pipe run in a bar tonight where they were playing a rerun of last years xgames. to think that he now has to relearn to talk... it must just be so devastgating. id definitely have a hard time coming to terms with that situation.

i beat sking not one of his biggest worries, i mean hes learning how to sit and stand, and wond be worring about doing not rodeo 7's.

i no this will sound friken stupid but what happened to CR i never really hear what happened, all i heard was he got hurt.

I talked to CRs sister yesterday. CR is talking walking and being CR. His short term memory is not so great, but it is improving every day. He should be back home in Tahoe on Wednesday!

do you think he forgot to ski? im not a doctor but wont it take him a long ass time to relearn everything like even turns and stuff.

well just so you get an idea where he is in the recovery process:

He is currently re-learning how to stand up, walk, speak, go to the bathroom, eat, and get dressed... so you can only imagine how long it will take him to be able to ski again...

I'm confident that he'll be on a pair of skis again someday. Maybe not hucking bio 10's on BC booters, but at least carving groomers nice and easy.

thats it, that would have a huge meaning too. skiing is such a big part of his life that it would be sooo nice for him to get on it again

wow, its humbling to think about cr johnson having trouble standing up and walking, let alone ski, he will probably be back late season skiing, thats just my prediction
