not that that had anything to do with the thread it self, but yeah CR deserves more respect especially from salamon i mean like he's been a rider for them forever
 
i know this is going to make me sound stupid but did salomon drop CR? becasue in this thing i read on him it said he thanked smith for everything they have done for him through his recovery, no mentioning of salomon anywhere
 
he created their whole freestyle movement would you even know what the 1080 was if it was not for him he made thier freestyle movement nuff said, campbell

cr didnt do shit to start the salomon freestyle movement. they sponsored him as a 14 yr old kid that could huck. im not going to go into the history of the salomon pro team here, but douglas, jf, and jp should probably get some credit before cr.
 
mabey thats so, but thats not the point. cr gave his life to skiing and now their not giving anything back
 
i love you campbell, but overlooking JP, JF, and Vinne like that is bs. Watch some old movies and know your role, Vinne was doing balled up cork 5 tails while CR was still wearing sunglasses and hucking pencil 10s.

CR is sick for sure and i love his riding and style, but im sure even he would agree that vinne jf and jp drove it at the start.
 
true but Cr droppin the 1440 on a pair of 1080 in a mack dog closing section or in the credits pretty much opened the minds of people as to what they hell, after that they all knew what a 1080 is, and all the other riders you mentioned , do they ride for Salomon now? CR built Salomon in the USA. AND YEAH A 14 YEAR OLD THROWIN 1440S IN A CORE SNOWBOARD FILM, SEEM TO BE PRETTY BIG TO ME, CAMPBELL, AFTER ALL DID ANY OF THE "FOUNDERS" GET A PRO MODEL FROM THEM, CR DID.
 
Wait, I thought CR's contract with Salomon ran out this year, so they DID NOT drop him. did they not resign him?
 
they were gone before the pro models came out, because they realized the salomon is shit and opted for a company they belive in rather than a big paycheck?

I think you need to give respect where its due.

thats retarded that he got droped just like that. i mean if i was working for a construction company and i got injured i would get workers compensation. riding for salomon is just like working any other job that was part of his income. to me salomon droping CR is borderline illegal, if they did not give him compensation money.
 
Cr is such a kool guy, I had met and skied wsith many big name guys before and alot of them present a ceratain attitude or persona that isnt really who they claim to be. I met cr on a lift last year when I was in whistler for the Wsi slopestyle Qualifer i got injured in the park before hand and randomly started talking to him and asked him if he smoked herb we then proceded to smoke 4 spliffs in a row in the trees above the comp caourse, he turned out to be one of the most humble down to earth people I have ever met. He is by one of the best all round skiers ever, from spinning one of the 1st 1440s ever to his crazy pipe run at x-games a few years back to his 70 foot 360 opp mute of that huge cliff on donna pass in pop ya bottles Cr is sick. When i heard he got hurt i was shoked. Now hearing that Salomon has droped him further proves that in the ski industry 90% of the time there si No loyalty what so ever. I prey that CR has a full recovery and comes back better than before and Ninthward Sings him onto there ever expanding team of misfits that rip harder than every one casue soo far it seems that they are far and away the most "core" company out there. No matter how childish and stupid some of their behavior might be. So to finish of this Post i say FUCK SALOMON and their buracratic bull shit and go ninthward and CR fukin Johnson heres to coming back harder than ever. You rip.....

Where is the proof that Salomon dropped him? lets see something, or is this all speculation/newschooler gossip?
 
ok his contract ran out this year, and when he was in a coma, salomon just probly tought that he would have such a bright suture anymore and with him out this year they probly couldn't afford keeping him on the team. so supporting him and and sponsoring him just didnt pay off in the long run. but that does still suck no matter what.

CR + Armada = Meant to be, I am pretty sure CR is much more mature and laid back than the Ninthward crew. Armada is the natural move, please no more cool skiers on ninthward, he could at least go 4frnt.
 
good call evtik... Boyd is no longer skiing professionally... hes moving to Newport next week or something... hopefully CR moves into his spot... The Bigger Picture and Armada are the way to go
