anyone have any songs they'd like to hear another band cover?

i think i wanna hear the distillers cover 'gold dust woman,' holes version just isn't explosive or raw enough. and the chick from the distillers has the perfect voice for it.

You do know the the Hole version is a cover too, right? It's not really meant to be 'raw'...

I have seen some awesome covers lately, String Cheese covered Marley's Could You Be Loved and the Dead's I Know You Rider at their Atlanta show, superb

Politicaly Active Since 1992

'Soberity is not an option.'

Drivin that Train

I saw this nasty local band play a meter's tune last night. It was sick. They played Steal My kisses too, that was chill.

open up, we're coming inside. What's it feel like to know you're gonna die?

sort of the opposite of the topic but...

i heard a perfect circle cover imagine by john lennon a while ago and i almost killed myself, it was so terrible. how could you possibly try to cover a song like that? they took it and turned it into one of the worst peices of garbage i have ever heard

hey look, its tristan.

^^ ya I really didn't like that cover, it's just sad when great songs get ruined like that.

'hey look guys! For a dollar you can get a free condom!'

- a friend when she saw the condom dispenser in the bathroom

'We could give him milk after filling his epipen with heroin and turn him into a drug addict'

- a guy thinking of ways to get revenge on someone who is deathly allergic to milk

^It could be worse... remember the Madonna cover of American Pie? That was fucking blasphemy. Someone should have decapitated her for that one... WAY over the line.

people seem to love this...but i fuckin hate it: all those pathetic so cal pop punk bands that do covers of oldies and doo wop shit. blows my mind how annoying it is...but i guess i hate so cal punk regardless of what they're singing about.

I'd like to hear ANYONE cover something by Dream Theatre or Symphony X

STARMAN DIED IN VAIN!!! Support Tito the partisan! 'Eat the poor'

I'd like a good present day band (can't think of any...) to cover Moby Dick by Led Zeppelin, but take away the drum solo and add verses and a chorus. The intro and outro would stay the same, then become a little softer and have a really awesome chorus based on the intro/outro. Actually, I think I'll do it myself. There could be a drum solo, but the one in the original song is just WAY too long.

^ yeah, i'd like to hear more covers of classic rock....... did anyone else hear soundgarden's cover of communication breakdown? it's pretty good.

another cover i like is the counting crow's cover of freind of the devil...... that's sweet.

actually, i'd like to hear some good covers, so i'm going to make a thread about it.

^^that is definitely one of the best covers.

I still maintain that Thrice's cover of Send Me an Angel by the petshop boys is one of the better too.

Actually thrice has lots of good covers.

I want to hear them or someone similar to Rebel Rouser
