Ilistened to a sick Cradle of Filth cover of Fear of the Dark(Iron Maiden) just a minute ago and it was awesome. I wanted to know what other people thought about cover songs? And what some of your favourites are?

I also love Still Fly by The Devil Wears Prada, its by far one of the best cover songs i have heard
 
it might be a vast generalization, but covers show to me that music was better back then. and for music issues i sure as hell shouldve been born 40 years earlier.

i personally love those punk cover stuff of hotel california, sloop john b, stand by me, paint in black and all those, i think pennywise is doing a lot of them.

but techno/house covers of good songs are the demise of the occident.
 
yea devil wears prada did an awesome job on still fly, punk goes crunk!fyi they are one of the best bands to see live everr
