Couple questions

Aight so i have this 15 foot long metal pole. And i was wondering if i could set up somehow as a down rail for summer(if possible) or atleast for winter.

So i thought of doing a summer setup but just replacing the PVC pipe by the metal pole, but the problem is i don't think the metal pole is the same diameter as a pvc pipe, and i only have one and not two like most pvc pipe boxes are setup.

The other problem is I have no clue how to support the metal pole by wood if i only have one: I'm afraid if i just put a 2x4 under it, the wood would stick out and my edges would get caught.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

put a 2x4 under it and cut the peieces that are out to far on the sides. then liquid nails it on there and then maybe screw it idk, jsut get pvc its like $5 for two

rip the wood down to a little more than the width of the pipe, then screw the pipe on through the bottom of the wood, you will need to drill small piolet holes in the pipe first though

I don't wanna use PVC cause getting the metal pole was pretty hard and i want to put it to good use, and i know it won't break or anything.

Alright, I'll try just cutting the wood under so it fits, I'll post the setup (1 flat down rail, 1 down rail, and 1 flat PVC box) once it's completed.

Thanks alot guys.
