Couple questions from an incoming freshman at CU boulder

you do know seth lives in summit right? of course he goes on heli trips and shit but he still lives in summit and skis in summit

no way!!! do you like, know him??? god i would die to like touch him!!.... jesus christ go make yourself a fucking hero if you want to idiolize something, might as well be yourself

calm the fuck down you fucking meth whore. and "idolizing yourself" is something paris hilton does. why not actually read what i said

i do read what you say... i just find it amusing to bug the shit out of you... besides meth is nasty... i have expensive and organic tastes (dipshit)

ha ha ha, expensive organic tastes, sounds like some good ass weed to me! This thread was hilarious.

Getting a job near campus is not too hard if you have steeze. I have been working in a shop almost my entire life ( I know, sooo cool) and I work at Boulder Ski Deals mounting new decks. If you know ur shit you can get a job.

Dorms suck ass, WillVille is alright cuz they are big, but it is a shitty bus ride and a long way home from the northwest side of the hill, bring ur skateboard cuz it's almost all downhill back through campus and lots of fun drunk.

Some of the best riding in Colorado is no more than 2 hours away, unless you want to go to Aspen or down south to Crested Butte or Silverton or some other sickness down there.

yea, good luck, almost everybody in Boulder is really chill. Just come be cool and have fun and you will enjoy ur time here.

you work at boulder ski deals? dude, i'm looking for a job so if you hear of any lemme know PLEASE... i need major money inflow and soon

And how many times have you seen him ski at summit county resorts? If you are a Boulder student claiming "big mountain" in summit county resorts, 1 you are a shithead and 2 you just aren't good enough to ski park so you hate on those who do. While I am in the park banging borderline mediocre chicks without rubbers, you are getting dirty hippy, unshaven, smelly, backpacking chick nastiness.

your right he doesnt ski summit resorts at all he lives there for the beaches, also i am not a boulderite or a student so fuck you and third i actually ski park alot but i guess because i label myself a big mountain guy which is what i prefer i must suck. wrong. and have fun with all your semi retarted children your going to get from fuckign a 5'3 snowboarder bitch who has green hair and a lip ring.. and i have fucked 1 girl in my life and she was not a hippy. seeing as how im only 17 i dont think thats too bad. and if your saying you cant ski big mountain shit in summit your the fucking shithead.

Way to get all defensive. When I was your age I was at least 30 girls deep. Your big mountain game will never work, people hear that and they know you are pussy.

ok if anyone on this site belives that you fucked 30 girls by the time you were 17 they are gullable motherfuckers. your probaly a fucking virgin.

Yo, Tweaks, if you can cut through all the BS here and bickering, you might get your questions answered.

Here's some more info that you will find helpful.

1. Job. With tuning experience you can get work, and I would seriously suggest you get on www.dexonline.com and start contacting shops now. You may find that you will have a job by the time you arrive.

2. Eldora. A controversial subject, for sure. Here's the scoop. It's 30-45 minutes away depending upon road conditions and traffic. The mountain is on the wrong side of the Continental Divide which means lots of wind, less snow. However, when there are upslope storms (storms hit the mountains from the east) you can have a damn good time. There's also a backside which has the best/steepest terrain there including a couple of small avi chutes. Hit the mountain ONLY when the backside is open and only during or immediately after upslope storms, or in the spring when everything is nice and soft. Avoid it on weekends.

3. Season Pass. You're going to score a good deal regardless if you choose the Copper/WP pass or the Colorado pass. The benefit of the Colorado Pass is you get Beaver Creek, Vail, Keystone (which isn't really a place I'd ski, personally although it must be noted that they do pay attention to their park features, especially rails) and Breck. With apologies to the Winter Park crew, I never seem to ski there, either, because you drive right by a little spot that averages 500 inches of snow each year called Berthoud Pass. See all that snow and I have to stop!

Both deals are sweat and you'll have fun regardless. My choice is the Colorado Pass because of the one-two punch of Vail and Beaver Creek. Beaver Creek is really good, with plenty of Backcountry access. You'll notice no one has mentioned it because it's a pain in the ass, you drive farther than most of the other resorts and then you have to park and then take a shuttle.

4. Road Shuttles. Berthoud Pass, Loveland Pass, etc. You don't even have to own a season pass for these places, just a car, some backcountry knowledge (avi gear essential) and a willingness to hike. Colorado is full of snow and mountains, and ditching the crowds at the ski areas is easy.

5. Road Trips. Save some coin for road trips. There are some amazing resorts worthy of long weekend trips. Crested Butte, Aspen, Telluride, the list goes on. Sample some of them. Even Loveland ski area can be fun when conditions are right and it's pretty close to Boulder.

I'll leave it to the others to argue over which mountain is best, the best for you will be your own decision. The fun will be in figuring out exactly which mountain that is. . .

haha^ thanks for all the info... im almost positive im getting the colorado pass, but im still deciding on the echo pass (once i figure out my final schedule i'll know..)

thanks for all the input

just so you know...wells fargo offers a deal for students in which you get a 2 for 1 coupon for the super pass if you open a checking account. so basically you get the pass for 160 bucks, which is ridiculous. i need somebody to go in on it this year because i have already opened an account.

there definitely are some nasty hippie girls in boulder.. but theres plenty more girls who are fucking hot as shit.. go to any of the bars from wednesday-sunday or even any night for that matter and you'll see plenty of them.. you're forgetting that there's a large amount of socal bitches attending CU boulder

Keystone has some amazing skiing, though hard to find, amazing. Breck has some great skiing outside of the park as well (lake chutes, chair 6, E chair, hike to stuff off of the t bar). Vail is huge and fun to ski, the park is super fun to lap and usually the hits are really nice, thats why you see spriggs and a few local pros ride there. Also, one of those places has amazing bc that is super easy to lap, pm me once you have all your gear and a level 1 class and I can show you the goods.

its enough as long as the classes arent on the opposite side of the campus... if so bring a skate even though they aren't much use when it is crowded.

hey guys im in baker room 11 if anybody is close to that we will smoke tons. also, this thread was super helpful. and whos got a car because i will be your best friend.

anyways, if you were 30 girls deep when you were 17, you are laggin. haha. just kidding, but seriously, fuckthepolice, you need to calm down, no need to play the 'ive fucked one chick' card. that card sucks anyways.

orientation on the 22nd, whos gonna be there, i'll be chillin probably wearing something ski-oriented and a white no cal hat. so hollatchaboy.

yoooo i am at aug 22, 23 orientation... yea, but ummm skistoned and breack are the best training if you live there... think about it... breck's jumps all day, then keystone's rails at night... so sick... however fuck the lifts at both and tourists at breck

keystones rails are fun at any time day or night, but if you can get them on a night when its not too icy then its fun as fuck, hardly any crowd, well lit, and you can lap the park like none other

well id be down for a bowl for sure. my bong wont be coming till a lil later cause im shipping it to myself. but once i get it anyone from ns is chill to use it. im sure you wont be dissapointed

ps, ive got a hookah, though im not sure what to do with it as its considered "paraphanelia" which is bullshit...but im only lookin to smoke tobacco through it at first...maybe lace it later.

ya it says they dont allow it but whatever. im gonna keep my shit in my closet or under my bed or something. just dont get caught doing something stupid and get it taken away.

FYI... being friends with the RAs will get you far. As long as you keep it hidden you won't get busted for it (unless if the cops are called, then I'm not sure about what they can or cannot do since its all CU's property). and get a wet rag and duct tape your door so that the smoke doesn't go out through the cracks into the hallway since the RAs do rounds starting around 7/8pm until midnight on school days and 1am on the weekends. You can usually find a routine in the RAs so pay attention cause they are doing a 2 strikes and you're out policy now so becareful incoming freshman

you could do that but you would still need to look out for RAs and campus police since they do patrol outside... I don't know which one would be better truthfully

The ideal thing would be to find a house off campus to smoke up in but that would be a lot of walking/biking/etc back and forth just to get high but then again its excercise in a way, lol
