Couches in Steamboat Springs

My buddy and I bought Icon passes this year and it looks like Steamboat is a good bet for early season snowfall with minimal crowds. Only thing is that we don't know anyone who lives there.

Are any of yall from steamboat or do you know anyone we could crash with for a few days at a time in december? We would of course provide food and beer

If I still lived there, would gladly help you out. But i dont :(. Yea poking around the ponds might help. If you don't know anyone, you really just gotta wing it. Maybe got space in the car to sleep or something. Early season steamboat terrain isnt anything great tho. The mountain just has a bad layout towards the base.

Word thanks, why is it not great early season? I had heard that steamboat gets some of the most consistent snow in early/mid december

just put your game to the test and commit to both of you going home with someone at the bar each night

HAHA, well put.

No but what i meant, you look at the trail map, everything chokes down to one 150-200ft trail chokepoint with only one base area. They used to have two, but royally botched that ticket. Hopefully now that Aspen owns em, stuff will get straightened out.
