Im talking that Big air comp at Tremblant this weekend, it was a good show displaying some pretty sick unknown Quebec talent as well as a fucking crazy party all night.

However, the 14 year old kid that won the thing was throwing Jon-esque switch (semi corked) tens all night. This kid, whom I wont say his name is deserves some serious recognition is gonna blow up soon look out.

cuz its not like i know the guy and hes not my friend or anything so I just think its kinda weird to drop some name of some unknown 14 year old. Maybe he doesnt want his name floating around NS, who knows. Anywasy you will be hearing his name soon, trust me

well it was a knockdown format in the finals

it went like this

Dom Legare adv ( cab cork 7 mute crash) vs mike legare (cork 10 crash)

J-A Maheu adv (cab 7 mute) vs J-F Helie (cab cork 9 crash)

Sam lagrange adv(cork 9 reversse mute) vs Ced T-F (Cab cork 7 semi-nose mute)

Alexis Godbout adv (cab 10 mute)vs Vlad Faubert (cab cork 7 true tail )

I personnally would have liked vlad to win this round cause his cab cork 7 was just PERFECT and landed midaway throught the landing while Godbout 10 was relatively small compared to vlad air and he didnt hold the grab for a long time.

then Maheu won agaisnt legare and godbout beat lagrange.

In the final godbout beat Maheu.

Not to take anything from Godbout but that looked a lot like a spin to win format where the biggest landed spin would win over twice as stylie smooth tricks.

Some sick shitswere thrown in the qualification rounds that didnt make the finals and should have but yea, it's tremblant and that's always a problem in our sport.

Another weird thing is that they let Godbout register even tho he was too young to do so afternot letting younger talents enter in the past years.

i see him around everywhere at tremblant, and it seems to me he gets special treatment. he was also in the urban jib last year too, and if i recall he was pulling pretty easy tricks. but anyhow, switch cork 10s, thats ridiculous, congrats.

He's a good skier, but as a previous dude said, if only he would be more chill. Heis attitude on the hill needs a lot of work. If this kid wants to become pro, he's going ot have to work on that. SOme companies may have thrown him some free gear, but he is no where near where he has to be to make a living off of this sport.

but I agree with ced that he wasn't going the biggest and the styliest.

The tricks were all really stylie with long and tweaked grabs

I know on numerous occasions my brother would say 'sick trick' to him after he does something gnar and he would pretend like hes not even listening. I mean its greta he is 14 and can do switch 10's that insane but he needs to get his ass kicked for thinking he is the shit.
