Cost on shaving the whole body of a truck ?

does anyone know a rough cost on shaving an 03 dodge dakota? the whole body that is.

im just looking for a rough cost
 
i also have another question..
im going to put a system in, not sure what yet. but its a 2 door truck with back seats that fit 3 people back there. would you suggest taking out the seats.. putting the system under ? or putting the system in the bed. with a hardtop cover over it
 
word i sw tehm do that on pimp my ride lol, but ive seen pics of your car it looks sick. but i wouldnt bother shaving the truck itll look alright but then get lame as you have it for a few years.

adn for a system i wouldnt put it outside, wont u put skis, ect in there? possibly damaging the system. id go under the seat/remove the seat if you can and just put it there.
 
would you have a toneau(sp) cover thing? or a cover that maeks it look like a suv kinda? i guess i wouold do it outside then, but id think sound quality would be worse.
 
i was thinking about the quality too, yeah it would be a hardtop on the top. so it looks like its jsut one peice and theirs no top at all. but if friends were togo in thats wht im thinking about , taking out the seats for a sytems hmmm. ijust dont know wht im gonna out in, im replacing the stock speakers, ill probally put 2 subs an amp, and idk what else. how many watts would be good for a truck, 2000 ?? 1500?
 
are you building a box ect yourself? cause if your gonna buy it ask from the store you get it from. or try to find a froum for trucks/ your truck, they can probs give you what would be good for it.

Do some more research on sound systems before you start looking into one imo. There also may be some hidden spots you can put stuff. Saying "how many watts would be good for a truck" makes no sense. Watts really don't mean much, alot of it depends on what you put in. You might have a ton of options in your car. If you were to go with the MTX box you might get really really sick of having two 12" pounding right behind your head all day and 99% of the time two 12"s will sound like absolute shit unless you go through all of the trouble of deadening your entire car. I know a fair amount about car stereo, hit me up if you have any questions.
 
if your lowering it and doing all that stuff shaving it, system, why did you get a truck? your defeating the opurpose of having one.

shaving costs depend on the shop doing them and the quality of the work

if you wanna lower it, i'd suggest airbags

you can add a body kit and it can be close to the ground that way, or c-section it and remove the fender-wells to get it to ride low and body kit-free

It's bagged, people drag trucks all the time. Also it's a 5th wheel, meaning the hitch is inside the bed, not on the bumper.

Please take your truck and go back to the south and go watch nascar or whatever they do there. Does that truck come standard with a shotgun on the back?

Is it 2wd by the way? If not your better off selling it and getting one that is if you plan on lowering it.
 
I guess I was think about a different truck. But still think about the hieight of a regular bumper, then think where the ball would have to be to match that height. It's not a photoshop.
 
why would you make a truck fast?, might as well say lets put a 5th wheel in the back of a geo metro. trucks are not supposed to go fast, their meant to haul and work.
 
seriously, I can't stand people who waste their money making a truck "fast" when all its good for it hauling stuff. Save you money.
 
that would be a sick truck.if you shave your truck you have to re-paint it too. you could do the shaving your self if you have a welder,a grinder, and some general skills at it. theres been episodes of trucks! that shows how to shave, and if you look on mini-truck sites and forums that will have how-to's on it aswell
 
yeah, for how simple shaving really is, it is a perfect DIY project if you can get a hold of the right tools.

but i bet you'd have to pay a shop a premium to do such a thing. But hey if you wanna spend the cash, go for it
