Cornell University-Any Skiers?

The skiing is Greek Peak and Labrador. Both completely suck but have exceptionally cheap college passes. Cornell has a large and well-funded ski club. Not a whole lot of freeskiers but there are a few. Several are on NS. There is lots of urban on Cornell's campus but I would not recommend hitting it. You're going to an Ivy League school - don't get kicked out over hitting a few stupid rails.

Also, you are right next to some of the best cliff jumping on the East Coast. There is literally great cliff jumping right on campus. You will really like Cornell. Congrats on the acceptance!

Greek Peak is near by as said above. I've skiied there primarily for 4 years. The park is small with the largest jump currently only being about 15 ft. The new owner seems a little more excited about the park than the previous. I've also heard rumors from park crew that they plan on extending the park slightly too. They have a half pipe cutter now, but it's missing the required attachment for their Cats. If your looking for a good community of park skiers though, Greek has a surprisingly tight knit group of skiers.

As a freshman, I can't say I've had any significant experience with the skiing here. Coming from Colorado I'm not expecting much, but I'll take what I can get. I am part of the ski club so we'll see how that goes. Also there is a much smaller separate "Freeski Club" that has a backyard setup, likes to hit urban on campus occasionally, and is definitely more park-oriented, which I'm also part of, but they haven't really done much either this year. I mean it's still not even close to winter here while back home my friends at Boulder are already shredding A-Basin...

Didn't go to Cornell, but used to visit my girlfriend who went there. Greek Peak is your best option for skiing. I was told to go to Toggenburg one time, so we checked it out because they had a good deal. Free isn't a good deal at that place, stick to Greek Peak.

Dude definitely a big ski/board scene there. Close to mountains and the school is filled with rich ivy league kids. Wouldn't be to worried.

Yeah, Cornell notes are just distracting rather than helpful. They make more work for the student and it's not really something advantageous.
