Corks and blunt

This season I learned cork9 blunts (left side spin, true tail grabbed with right hand) but since I started crossing before grabbing to get a nice cross I have problems getting the grab. I noticed some pros kinda look back to the ski to see it before they grab (LJ, henrik) and some dont (Wallisch)Idk, I havent tried that yet cuz Im pretty scared that this will stop my rotation, which will end in a horrible crash. Any tips how to get the grab better? Oh, I already started stretching my back like simon henrik and lj does, but it doesnt really help. Any input?
thx

really try to backscratch your skis so the tail is right within arms reach. and stagger then so that you can cross the front without touching the back. good luck

sometimes you have to take a step back to step forward.

the cork rotation and fast spinning of the nine is making you miss or not have enough time for a tail grab. this is a big secret, practice on the lift, without looking you should be able to find the tail of your ski, even finger pinch truetail. when you first start throwing down, do tail5, then tail7, then cork tail 7. again the cork is whats making it difficult, so once you are aware of the trick, send it off a big jump, so you have enough time to spin grab and spot the landing early for your stomp
