Cork Zero Spin

stfu no you dont, you always have an axis. When you do a straight air, you dont go off axis at all, thats why its called a straight air.

How can it be off-axis if he's not spinning? For something to be off-axis, it has to be on-axis first, and for something to have an axis of rotation, it has to be spinning.

No Spin = No Axis

cork - a term used in skiing derived from the term "corkscrew" to imply an off axis
  • rotation
.

see how the corkscrew is straight untill it rotates.

the zero spin is simply off axis, no rotation involved = no cork.

you guys sound like a bunch of lawyers. I hope you read this and stop wasting your lives on this. There are plenty of other threads to fight in.

yeah everyone needs to admit it that this kid with all the posts is a total fagg that spends more time on his computer than out skiing.

I've done those thousands of times.

It's just called a backseated landing...and a fucked up jump. Landing on your tails.

If that sequence would be a straight air his position would look really bad. Sitting on the tails, not launching from the jump properly.

OK, it's a bit different thing when you hit the jump backwards. But still, wouldn't it be much better if he landed in the middle of the skis, not on his tips, leaning all the way uphill.

(I often wonder that with the park jumps too...if you compare "proper" landing forwards to what most people do switch --> aren't you supposed to land standing normallly, just stomp it...not letting your upper torso lean on the uphill. To me that looks like you're not in control)

i dont know how you can get off axis then back to your feet without spinning, in this instance it just looks like he was leaning over balls then piked his shit for the landing.

I suggest you walk to your kitchen, take a close look at a corkscrew, and then come back and repeat that garbage you posted there.

K since there are like infinity replies I didnt read them all but...I is a Zero degree *SPIN*...O degrees is stil an angle just as 180 degrees is an angle....I say you can cork it he is just doing a 0 degree spin!

Yes I know all you all are gonna rip me a new one for this but oh well its my thought and its a sweet trick props to him!

No fucking way you can call a zero spin corked. He just leaned really far forward off the jump. Dont even start this discussion is utterly worthless.

how do u even start to call that a cork? thats not the defintion of cork at all. its off axis no matter what way u put it

agreed all he is is tweaking, what about a full sideways, layed out Japan straight air corked?? no differant axis though

The line of gravity (or whatever) doesnt change he just tweaks his legs out horizontally. Its like saying a side tweaked mute is a flatspin straight air cos the skis are on the side.

One of the sickest tricks I've ever seen, spins are overated.

id u could cork a zero, ud b able to cork a strait air.... and last time i saw some one do that.... it was a yardsale

im not even going to call t hat off axis, he isnt spinning around an axis to be off.

maybe that didnt make sense

this is the most rediculous argument ive ever seen, but here i am joining in on it. to cork out a straight/zero it needs to have some shifty involved, such as a whip on a dirtbike, that is the only way to possibly "cork out" an air with no rotation. also, too many idiots are calling that chads gap when its actually pyramid gap. that is all
