Cork 360s... any tips?

Go off and look down over your shooulder. Not like past yourear but go off and try to bite your kidneys

you shoudl throw it down pretty hard Id say but not liek into a flip. Just kind of liek flow it down. Dont try and start flipping or anything. Liek dont PUSH down, just drop down.

Ok i'm feelin pretty good now. Is there anything i should expect when i get in the air?

Don't extend yourself, keep in a sort of cruntched position and continue to look for the landing. If you extend you'll stay corked and land that way, on your back.

Um expect to feel very corked/inverted. You will spot looking down at the table and it may be weird, then you will just come aruodn if you look for it. It would be very hard to land on your back I think...

I'm guessing you've never done cork spins before, so I'll tell you the other few people were right - definately go for a 5 over a 3. The rotation will come around much more naturally. Cork 3's are crazy because of the amount of air sense you need.

Ok so heres what i got:

1. Carve into the jump a little bit in an athletic stylish position.

2. Drop my left shoulder (i spin left) fairly hard but not enough to flip.

3.Grab my left ski with my left hand.

4. Stay tucked up for the entire rotation.

5. Spot my landing and come out of the corked position as late as possible.

6. Ride away smoothly without any sign of personal celebration.

'Do a 540 its alot easyer to cork 540s than 360s'

yeah but Cork 3s are soo much sicker.

initiate rotation before you pop

i've done a bunch of accidental corked spins doing this hahaha i always land on my side tho which is uncool, use above tips to uncork and you're golden

if you spin to the left instead of throwing your left arm behind you, throw it straight down and around. does that make sense?

A couple things. When you come off the jump do a 90 and kind of kick your right foot up so you go straight out corked. Hold this position the whole way through the air or you are totally screwed and will land on your back. Just before you hit the ground (you can only guess when your gona hit so have good air awareness)... So just before you hit the ground pull out the last 270/180 and ride away like you own the park.

theres nothing hucked about this trick, its gotta be smooth.

just take off and stay low, you dont even need to wind up at all. just start spinning and slowly drop your shoulder, but you gotta be smooth, and if you dont commit, youre fucked.

just reaching down for a safety or critical might help it cork, or at least just make it look better.

nakiska's park is huge, so try it on the first jump, that would be the best one

the key to getting cork 3s back to your feet is where your cvorking it. if youre looking behind you, like over your shoulder or anything, its gonna stay cork til 5 or so. throw it into the initial cork then look between your legs, back at your tails. itll come back by 3 and youll be able to get it to your feet. also, it makes it a lot easier of you can carve hard off lips, they come around better.

confusion.

i think of the take off as the exact middle between a lincoln loop and a 3

i get it about 75% of the time, the other 25% hurts like a big black penis

alright well i feel bumping this thread cause its helping me too, im thinking of givin er tomorrow at sunday river.

all those sr guys might see me, you might want to watch it could be really funny-orange jacket, grey pants, i have to get spins on bigger jumps first though

[/i]I think my first couple attempts at actual 3's off of big jumps were corked, I kept looking down at the landing and being like "Oh FUCK that doesn't look right. I haven't done this before but fuck ooohhh shit that really doesn't look right". Now I'm scared to do them because of all my painful early collisions, but I guess it'll come eventually.
