Cork 3 help

Tried cork 3 for the first time today (see vid below) shins hurt like hell but was fun. Does anyone know how i can stop landing backseat like this? Am i setting it wrong? Is this even a cork?

youre leaning back too much and not really setting the right loop for a cork 3. are you carving into the takeoff? flex your core as you take off and keep your belly facing the ground and don't rush the spin

okay in that case i say concentrate on flexing your core, keeping your belly facing downward, and slow the spin down. you're coming out of the 3 pretty dang early and while you could bring it around to 5 no problem, it's going to put you backseat trying to stick with the 3

Wait you said cork 3. My b. Been years since I’ve done one but you need to push your weight forwards towards the landing about halfway through the spin and really kinda push over onto the toes

Pop towards the direction you’re going. Your body is still on the same axis as the jump.

I was told by [tag=269528]@yeah_boi[/tag] that before corks I need to learn how to carv into my 3. But to carve you have to lean right? Yeah so I just leaned into my carving 3 and accidently went horizontal. And pulled it off perfectly. Guitar George told me that he could read my vishnu bases.

Why wouldn’t you just do a cork 5? It is just as easy as a 3, and you get more spins.

real talk though, you set wrong for the cork 3, this is rather a 5, but stil very up right. Flat 3s are taken off fairly straight forward in terms of upper body rotation and are rather done through gentle hip pops and carving.

plenty of videos to cross reference your attempts with actual makes and voice overs for understanding on youtube :)
