so, last shot. fucking crazy.

thoughts? i think it's one of the sickest tricks this season, and in that video there were some other bangers as well.

dude did the same thing in a few shots, he basically extended one leg out as high and far away from his body to appear "corked" but in reality its basically like if someone stood on the ground and did a high kick, they aren't on a different axis is just the position of their body. He did like a weird switch backie with the tweaked out legs too and IMO it just looks sloppy.

Pretty cool, but I still don't think there's been anything that has topped Favre's cork 180 in Skimatic.

Why is this still a topic? Cork 1 isn't a thing. You need 360degrees of rotation on a horizontal plane to achieve a corkscrew rotation.

he rotated on a vertical plane but did not complete a corkscrew. I watched it.

i don't wanna be cheeky but what should it be called then? both guys throw it like a normal cork, so i'd say it's a cork 180. vertical plane 180 doesn't sound good and is pretty complicated to be a trickname imo.

I could not disagree with you more. This is as corked as most cork 7s, he kicks his leg up to stop his rotation, not to exaggerate the cork. It looks weird because it's a trick that isn't supposed to work, stop calling out tricks as being less than they are.

lol umad bro?

If you wanna be delusional about tricks, thats fine but as someone already said you can't do a "cork" without at least a 360. hell, some cork 3s are just weird off axis lincoln loops.

But, im gonna stop here because the last thing I want to spend my time doing is arguing about tricks.

When u realize you're wrong

Nah, this whole thing is decently subjective, there are certain facts when it comes to tricks but everyone interprets things different. If someone is going to disagree with my opinion about a trick, im just going to agree to disagree and move on.

by nature, "cork" & "off-axis" are not the same. they may be terms that are interchangeably used and thus synonymous with each other, but they do not have the same denotation. Look at any "corked" spin, 360degrees and over. If you closely follow the skier's vertical and horizontal orientation, you'll see at some point their path mimics that of a corkscrew. Watch their path on an "off-axis" 180, it is far from that.

100% agree. That just looked messy.. (his other tricks were actually really clean). No one would call a lui kang kicked like that a "cork".

The closest I have ever seen to a cork 1 is Will Berman on that hood jump and that was only so damn close to cork because he was hand-dragging off the jump and already half way corked before he left the lip.
