Cork 180 for all you haters

They need bigger clothes, those jerseys looked like they were only XXL. If they add one more X I'm fairly certain their skin will get a shade or two darker.

the discussion is not whether or not people can do off-axis 180s. We've seen off-axis 1s several times. The discussion is about the definition of "corked."

that was sick.

i have yet to see something that smooth on skis. Id like to see a skier lean back after corking it out to land switch up right instead of right on their tips with their head in the snow.

That's why there is a argument if skiers can do them or not. They just don't looks as good as that.

alright chief, if you missed apski's thread on this last month or haven't seen skimatic, here's favre's cork 1.

IMO, that's pretty damn cork. If guys like Lanks and Nomensteven don't want to call this corked, that's alright. We can have a good debate about the definition. As far as I'm concerned, cork 1s are completely possible.

that was by far the smoothest thing i have ever seen on snow, i would have to say in my opinion the coolest trick ive seen, regardless that he is snowboarding

first of all dont put lanks in the same category as nomensteven..... and that 180 in state of mind is overcorked, thats what i was saying, so its definately legit, you can do a true cork 180.

meh, i like laurent's better. mathes was waving his arms all over the place and it looked like he was going to do a 3 then stopped rotation. definitely sicktor but i think laurent was more steezy.

Hey buddy. It's okay. We're going to get through this. Take some deep breaths. If it's within the grasp of your intellect to glance up the page, you'll notice that I said that off-axis 180s have been performed. The debate now, therefore, is not whether or not they are possible, rather the debate is about whether or not a corked spin needs a complete rotation in it. You cleverly replied "I hate you." This could indicate that you think there is no debate because cork 1s are not possible, or you think there is no debate because cork 1s are possible. Either way, there is a debate. My apologies for guessing your opinion wrongly. Congrats on being on the cutting edge of corked definition progression. I agree with it.

Here's a better debate: Is this even relevant at all? Does it matter if somebody you've never met can do a certain trick? I think it's a huge waste of time to try to prove something so trivial, but if it's really that important to everybody, have at it.

Whoever was saying favres was smoother, I'll rip Eric Messier's from One Love, will put the smoothness debate to rest.

If you're going to make this an intellectual argument, explain to me why 4 people with good heads on their shoulders cringed at your initial post, oh master of intellect. Your opinion must have been oozing with all that is intellectual for everybody to hate you after you had your say.

the argument isnt whether or not that trick can be done. its what we consider corks, and what the correct deffinition is.

Give me a break...Laurent's is not even close to "corked", "inverted" "sideways" "off-axis" or anything like that period. He pulled his legs up and looked down...woopdy doo.

am i the only one who thinks that sucked? cool. he can do it. but to me, it just looked like he fucked up on a sick cork 3. bringing it around at the last moment is way sicker than stalling out your spin, anyone can do that.

ten bucks says you cant. why all they hate? why doesw talking about a tricks name always turn into a fight between people as if one persons family will die if its called a cork, and the others if its simply left at off axis. I agree with nomensteven its dope so who cares what you call it. dont bunch ur panties up over the name

on the hit list mark abma does a "cork" 180

he does his kinda like how larent farve does his but less

turn on the in run
