Core center!?

where is core center? I've heard that it's the balance point of the ski, the thickest part of the ski, even the center of the side cut. If there are any ski techs out there that know for sure, I'd like to know

the thickest point of binding mat on the ski, and sometimes it's also the true waist of the ski.

I measued up everythign on my 179 Silencers. I mounted them at the center of the running length which is the same as 1.5cm back of true center on that ski, or 2cm behind balance point, or +10.5 from midsole.
