Corck'n

Hey, ive been havin trouble at corkin my spins, I can do 3's, 5's, 7's and i can grab them. Whenever i seem to try to cork it i end up landing on my back, or doing like a rodeo. I need some advice on take off and such.

Thanks

okay go into the jump spin over yo' shoulda's and the when you want to land spot yo' landin' and then adjust yoself to come in nice and sauced
then make sure to afterbang to the bottom of da park

it helps to carve off the takeoff. then you drop your shoulder with the spin. the more you drop it the more corked you go. helps to practice on tramps to get the feeling

honestly just try to slap your opposite ass cheek with your opposite hand and look under your arm pit instead of straight back. They are super easy with those tips.

bump. i can do corks on the tramp but i land on my back everrytime too. how do you come back on axis?

1) Practice on a trampoline until winter

2) wait for a nice winter day

3) Tell yourself your gonna cork today

4) drink a redbull or wtv floats your boat (beer not reccomended)

5) take your favorite jump that's not too big and no too small

6) hit the jump and dont choke, commit 100%

the only way you can hurt yourself (if you know how to do them) its by not commiting and stoping your rotation mid air but i've never seen anyone do that lol they are pretty much the same thing than on a trampoline! good luck, thats what i did to learn them

It's hard to give real advise, when we aren't watching you do them. But I am pretty sure that as long as your set is right than all you need to worry about is shin pressure. I have seen so many kids land on their backs trying corks, because when they learn them, they are taking off kinda back seat. Even if you are throwing it perfectly it is almost impossible to bring your body upright and land properly unless you take off properly. It's all about your forward pressure. Trust me.

The way I learned was to think of it like you're driving a semi truck, as in turning the wheel, and then suck up your knees. The trick should take care of itself from there.
