Can anyone post a video of someone skiing it and i mean not just like jumping off but actually someone riding down it the whole way like if it was being filmed from the JH tram or down below corbets

is that in jackson hole cause if it is theres 2 pictures of my dad jumping it in my house back in the day

Hahaha not even close. Why would he look over on his stomach? You can ski right up to it, and hang your tips over the edge. The drop MIGHT be 10-15 feet. No way it's over 15.

It all depends on what part you look over. If you look at the notch where most people drop in it's usually 10-15', if you look further right it's in the 30-40' range most of the time, and if you drop in skier's left then....well, you have my respect. But the runout doesn't really have anything to worry about unless the base is really thin so it's not too hard of a run.

tensleep bowl is pretty fun, but im not a fan of corbets anymore a good friend of mine hit it on a windy day got blown into the wall and shattered his shoulder blade, he probably shouldnt have hit it that day to start with, but now i have no more urge to hit it

does anyone know what time of year corbets normally opens by. I heard it needs to have a certain amount of snow . Cause i am goin in january n will be devastated if its not open

did you really have to ask that? i mean he obviously meant that, we get it, you can spell. victory. ps im kinda drunk

fuckin idiot. u dont think its changes when theres dif amount of snow? on a good year it may be small.. early season its def. pretty big

ur an idiot when theres lots of snow theres a huge cornice that adds onto it u obviosly havent looked or skied down it before. props to me

when i was there it was like 10-15 feet. it might be 30-40 feet without snow but the only time its really hittable is when its under 20. not really sure though

the less snow the better it is

if it is twords the end of the season when most of the snow had built up it is just a huge cliff to drop in

most people here have no idea what they are talking about, when its open you can pretty much just ski in, like a 6 foot drop max, pretty easy and then the best snow on the mountain usually

stuff always looks bigger when there is a steep slope under it. if you take it with speed its easily a 30 foot drop. you obviously arent going to roll up to the end of it wait then drop in. if your gonna do it you take it with speed. i saw it last day of the tram when they had a hugggge base and the drop was still considerable.

you guys are idiots, a cornice will form on the opposite direction the wind is blowing and yes it does grow in height and yes i have hucked it before

You're doing an excellent job making a total ass of yourself.

Jackson's been getting a lot of snow lately, so I wouldn't be surprised if they had it open sometime soon if it isn't already. Just be prepared to go for it if it's acually open, because Corbet's seems to be closed more often than not. And if it is closed, there's plenty of other sick stuff on the mountain.

we were there two years ago and it was AMAZING. my brother and i looked over the edge and jumped. though it hadn't snowed too much so the drop was only like 10-15. 30-40 is overdoing it, though if its been windy the snow kicks up and makes a big shelf that gets taller and taller

I jumped into it over winter break. It was such a rush heres a few pics. By they way if u eat it everyone hates u because as they wait 20 minutes for you to hike back up in waist deep pow to get ur shit like my friend found out.

i was so stoked to do it but i rented gear out there, WRONG DECISION. if you have feet like bricks like i do that are extremely hard to fit right into boots, bring your own shit. my feet were in so much pain that whole weekend, i would've just collapsed if i had done it. props to anyone who has!

i think the 300ft cliff that it closes out at is probably the major limiting factor why it doesn't get skied...

just a thought.

While i was in jackson i saw a viewing of teton gravity's new video Lost and Found. Its pretty sick and they have some guy dropping in on cajon on it. SHould check it out
