Cops rails need work

cop had lots more rails last year. they should put them all up for the last couplle week. and another thing is they need one of those boxes to have a jump on it, to work on spins on.

everything is ride on or street style, exept for the two boxes (s box and flat up flat) that are too hard for lots of us to do tricks on.

i hope if someone here works there they can say thats what lots of kids think, and even if they dont ix it this year maybe they can next year

 
i agree, they should atleast change the last down box they have right at the bottom, make it a nice 2 or 3 foot gap on with a nice wide jump so we could throw 270s and 450s on, it would be so much better than having the street style set up that it has now
 
i dont work there anymore, but if you want anything done around there you have to either talk to Wade Cose or Mike Tanner...those are the two big heads that bust shit out in the park...you want more variety of rails, better gaps, funner shit? address them personally and something will happen, maybe not right away, but eventually
 
are they the people who go around and fix the stuff all the time?

they're the guys that actually build the park and manage the crew that goes around fixing shit...you can call 1-403-247-5452 and ask for either of them n you'll either get them or a mailbox. talk to them, they're the connections of connections
 
yEAH, but the majority of people who go to COP and are good are shred sledders, until skiers get rad, than street style it is. fuck dude, its more fun that way. we grew up in the fucking ghetto alberta.
 
Sorry, I was tired big time.

Translation means: The majority of the people that go to COP are snowboarders, a and a great deal of the snowboarders that go are pretty good. The good snowboarders don't like to concern themselves with easy features to get onto, so if there is a super hard box or rail, why make it easy to get onto? Plus, the skiers that go are pretty good for the most part, but there still is more good snowboarders than skiers. COP makers cater to snowboarders for more willingly than they would ever cater to skiers, its understandable. But plus, street style setups are more fun I think. I mean, us Albertans are part of the ghetto (not really).
 
Werd, I like down boxs/rails but they have like 10. One gap on flat would be nice. I really dont mind the streetstyle shit they have, just need some more variety.
 
On another note... I heard that they were moving a bunch of snow around making something new at the bottom? Whats the word on that?
 
yeah their more fun, but its frustrating if they dont have any jump ons to work one spins on.

Im not competing but it's ski and board and then ya there's a team type thing. I think it's teams of 3
 
why for some reason do i have a feeling its going to cost an arm and leg to pay for it?? apparently the quarter pipe is gonna have wallride and rail options on it too!! i wish i wasn't a broke ass, otherwise it could happen haha
 
that one tabletop jump looks fucking HUGE!!! easily three times the size of the first big right now. i cant wait to see someone case it, cuz you know its gonna happen! im not wishing someone bad luck, but i know its gonna happen

hell no, all you gotta bust out is the neoprene wet suit and you can like belly surf into the jump and fly off it like that!!!! HAHAHAHA
 
the jumps id say about 60ft long...followed by a quarterpipe/vertical box/step-up arrangement...not open to public, only for competition on sunday...jump looks super gay cuz the landings flatter than a 5 year old!
 
ok, so the jump will probably be 70-75 feet to the sweet spot when it is done. the jump itself will be the same size as you can see, but they are pushing part of the pipe into the landing to make it more like a roll over landing, like a high knoll which rolls over into the landing.

since i havent been injured it feels a bit slower, but thats cuz for the last few years ive had 3/4 seasons. come to cop tomorrow everyone, gonna be epic
