Cops are not the devil (short rant)

im a moral person not a set of ruled type of guy, and if walking down the sidewalk is against the rules id rather not be called a citizen of the united states..... and you are the argumentive type of person that has this country headed in the wrong direction
 
It isn't against the rules, and the cop had no right to terry stop you which is why we have rules that regulate the rights of citizens.
 
Most of those right have been waived in recent years. Cops can do whatever if they lie, and if they're already fucking with you, you better belive they're gona lie in court.
 
im pretty sure you just made up the first fact. and of course they bust people with weed a lot cause thats their fucking job. ive been busted with weed and the guy was the furthest thing from a dick.
 
i guy i work with tells me about his freind who is a sheriff that goes to his cottage while on duty and fucks a college girl doing a police ride along for her class. and the ass hole is married with a 2 month old baby girl
 
you must be very unaware of out current state, and have had little to no involvement with government authorities.
 
Your opinion is true about a lot of cops out there, but most of the kids on here saying "fuck the police" are from rich white suburbs, where cops do jack shit but bust kids and direct traffic. I challenge you to say that their jobs are in any way hard or stressful. Our town is full of corrupt assclowns with a badge who don't give a flying fuck about people's rights or stopping real crime.
 
About shit like the Patriot Act which lets them listen in on our phone calls and shit? I understand that (which I don't agree with), but being terry stopped illegally by a police officer is still against the law and can be defended. I love how people imagine cops, government officials, and court officials to be different then day-to-day people.
 
well...i personally dont like cops that try to intimidate you. i myself do things that are said to be vandalism...but i disagree very much with that. this doesnt stop me from doing what i do. i just dont like it when cops try and make me seem like i just killed a person.

most cops are pretty chill though if u are honest with them and dont lie.
 
I know cops, I've talked with off-duty cops, many of which disagree with the so-called "patriot act", war in Iraq, etc. They're human beings, they aren't soul-less power-tripping androids put on this earth to stop you wherever you are, illegally search you, then beat you unconcious with a night-stick.
 
Well I've talked with on duty cops and their demeanor is much different. Either way, keep thinking their your friend, maybe it'll help you out. I can only speak from experience.
 
I used to think the same way until I met this cop/S.W.A.T. officer in school and he totally changed my perspective on everything. I never fully comprehended the stress of the job. He told me after he never knew if the next guy he pulled over was going to shoot him, or the next drug bust could go wrong and he could get shot there, really he expressed how he can't go into many situations without being prepared for the worst (being shot and killed, protecting the community from the scum of the earth). I wish all of you "I hate cops" kind of people could have been there when he talked to me because I really sympathized for him because he is putting his life on the line and people just assume his some dickweed cop, which is why I'm defending the majority of cops who go home everyday to their average joe familys hoping the next day they don't get killed.
 
I keep seeing this shit come up and it pisses me off every time. timmi, it's ok, you are not to blame; but, your parents are. people like your mommy and daddy are the reason we live in a time where the president can suspend the habeas corpus, just because he wants to. our freedom is being taken away from us little by little, and brainwashed (or mindless?) motherfuckers like you stand by and advocate it. open your eyes. use your brain and think. the cops are just a small part of a much larger problem.
 
first off, im canadian. so i dont even know what habeas corpus is. i am not brainwashed. i am not blind. the point of this thread was just to show that i hate the little 14 year old bitches in their basketball jerseys screaming fuck the police are retarded. do you think those kids give a fuck about habeas corpus?
 
Yeah right. I live in the suburbs of cincinnati and I have never had a problem with the police. I have been pulled over 3 times and every time they have been reasonable and let me of with a warning or a ticket punishing me as little as possible for my violations of the law. You need to relax and realize that the police have better shit to do than fuck with some retarded teenager who might have some pot on them.
 
actually true story,

i was with some friends going through kingston to pick up another kid on our way to university in quebec. my friend got stopped by a city cop for doing 80kmh in a 60 zone i think, but the kid we just picked up used to be best friends with the cops brother. so when when my friend got the ticket and the officer was about to walked away he said "thanks neil" and the cop stopped half way back to his car and came back and asked how he knew his name and the kid in the back said what up, and that he used to be friends with his brother and the cop remembered the kid and he said "give me the ticket" and we got off the hook.
 
Like I said, cops are regular fucking people. If you go to McDonalds and the burger-flipper drops a chicken nugget, he'd put it back if it was for a stranger. If your friends with the burger-flipper, he'd throw it away and get you a clean one.
 
reasons I don't like the Missoula PD:

They completely abuse their power. Cops are there to "Serve and Protect." not "Ruin your day/night." If youre not doing anything wrong, not harming anyone, totally in control, why do the cops need to fuck us over? One night while we had pretty much all of MPD patrolling the bars, we had a shooting 3 blocks away. Where were they then?

I've gotten 2 MIPs for having one beer. so thats 3 total. And I honestly think only my first was justified, considering I was apparently at cat/griz basketball and blew a .19. In my opinion, cops are there to watch out for kids like me at cat/griz, not give me tickets for having a beer at a tailgate.

a noise complaint resulted in 52 MIPs at one party. Granted, it was a huge party. but 52 IPs? Thats ridiculous. Just shut it down and breathalize the drivers.

I just don't think the MPD is doing their business right. I worked at the courthouse and every day all day the clerks would complain about how many unnecessqary tickets they deal with. The cops would yell at them for the LINES outside being too long, but they're the ones giving the tickets! Fucking insane. Even judge Louden doesn't care. He gives minimums on MIPs every fucking time and has ranted to me about how lame he thinks it is that the MPD gives out so many tickets.

The cops at home, in Santa Cruz, work it right. They report to noise complaints, check it out, and if no one is hurt or fighting or puking, they just shut it down. If kids are in trouble, they step in! Fuck it, i'm not pleased.
 
Cop's aren't everywhere at all times. The way you worded it, you sound like Cop's didn't give a fuck that there was a shooting 3 blocks away from you, they are more worried about stopping a couple kids on the side of the road which is complete bullshit. All I can say is I feel bad for the men and women who risk their lives everyday to be trashed on the internet by a bunch of morons.
 
You guys realize that you get fucked with because the community you live in has decided that they want the cops to fuck with you? People don't like crime, and they also realized that the ones that look/act/are your age are the majority of citizens doing stupid shit and causing problems.
 
In my town:

Bloomfield Hills Police: Dicks...told me i was going to jail for skateboarding cuz owner of store was fed up by skateboarders in the BACK of his store. They pulled over my friend for a cracked windshield and first thing they said was "if i bring out the dogs are they gonna find anything". my friend says "no", so they bring in 2 other cop cars and search his car and have a dog sniff him and his shit. After not finding anything they of course go back to their cars and give him a $200 fine for a cracked windshield and leave by saying "have a nice day". Meanwhile his car is a mess from the search. You would think they would at least let him off with a warning after fucking his car up and finding nothing.

Bloomfield Township Police: Chill... ask you to leave if you get caught skating. They dont target kids and are friendly.
 
if youre being rude to cops or blatently breaking the law, why should cops be nice to you? if i was a cop id be a dick to punk kids too. "omg fuck the police they got mad and beat me up while i was selling crack. waaaa"

No offense, but Rodney King deserved to get his ass beat. They didn't beat him because he was black, but because he was on PCP, violating his 6th parole, and had just led them on a huge chase on the highway. So inform yourself before spamming "RODNEY KING". People like him are the actual criminals, not kids smoking pot in the suburbs.
 
I feel like i missed something but i don't mind cops who are lookin out for the better of the people. (roberries, crazy drivers, all that good stuff) I dislike when cops go "fishing" for tickets. Getting a ticket for not having a blinker on in a turn only lane is kind of lame. Stuff like that
 
rodney king is just one of many examples of unfair police brutality that occur all throughout america, people should not get the shit beat out of them, thats not how its supposed to work anyhow. if RK was really such a criminal than he would be treated luike any other person accused of a crime.. which is innocent until proven guilty. so no, the police had no right to beat the shit out of him. taking him to court and prosecuting him is one thing. but beating the shit out of him at a gas station. well that is very illegal.

the point i was getting at, but you clearly couldnt put anymore thought into then what is clearly displayed before you is that if your thrown from the seat you have no chance of regaining control. you will just go wherever you go, and maybe kill someone.

and if your dumb enough not to wear a seatbelt you probably deserve to be thrown from a car. its in no way an inconvenience.
 
alright, so i had a run in with the police last night. and guess what? they were really nice people! oh gee!

4 of us were getting drunk in a public park, playing volleyball and swimming and what not. a parks and rec guy called the cops on us. 2 cops showed up and right off the bat were being really nice. they didnt even care. they were telling us about how they used to come and get drunk here. all they did was took down our names to make sure we werent wanted or anything and then made us dump out the booze that they found. then they told us to have a great night and let us walk home.

cops are not the devil.
