Copper wire pays big.

So my dad works for an air conditioning company and they do some pretty big jobs that require a personal transformer for the building. So a few days ago they got all new transformers for the buildings and all the old transformers were just left at the junkyard. So me my brother and my Dad go and pick up the transformers, bring them home and start operating on them. Long story short there are coils of copper wiring that run around each metal rod in the transformer. We take the 560 lbs of copper wire to the scrapyard to sell and we get $1200 for everything.

go hunting for some copper NSers i made $430 in just a few hours today.

people steal it from my grandpa's hardware store

hes had people that have their boss send them to buy copper, but they buy it, bend it so it looks used and then sell it to the scrap yard

takin from the junk yard and backalleys and shits fine but don't go stealing the stuff

People've stolen whole statues and war memorials and shit in Vancouver, not long before the roof on parliment goes

Here in Washington people have been stealing copper out of the ground along the highway which is for the lights and were talking about two miles worth and they take it to scrap yards and make bank.

this isnt a new thing..if you go to pretty much any crack/drug/abandoned house in any major city, you will see huge holes in the walls where someone has busted through the drywall and taken all the wiring..pretty common

Ive got a trailer full of old steal framing that was in my old barn thats being torn down. He said he didnt know what to do with so im just going to take it down to the recyclers and keep the money. Its like a couple tons

Someone in my town got busted earlier in the year stealing the copper downpipes on the outside of the prison.. you have to wonder.

haha. dumbasses around where i live die trying to steal copper out of electrical wire. yes electrical wires that run alongside roads, they actually lean a pole against it to try to divert the current then they climb a ladder to try to cut it out. needless to say, must of them end up dead.

Sorry for the double post, but does anyone know where i can find out how much scrap steel is by the ton. I dont want the guys at the recycling place to screw me

1/3 of the worlds copper is in use,

1/3 is still in the ground

1/3 is in landfills. People will be mining landfills soon.

my dad caught a guy at his work stealing a ton of copper, he would come at like 2 in the morning and cause he was one of the owners they didnt think anything was up cause the alarm would always never stay on but then my dad set up a camera and was like a spy and caught him in the act! needless to say the guy was fired and is like a car salesman now hahah sucks for him
