Copper Terrain Park Manager Postion Available!

Have alot of park building experience or know someone who does?
Woodward at Copper - quite possibly the raddest place on the planet - is looking to get radder. As you know, we have been integrating Woodward passion onto the snow through combining the Terrain Park team and the Woodward at Copper team. The next step is here…Woodward at Copper is looking for a Terrain Park Manager to step up to the challenge of creating the best park and pipe on the planet. If you are interested in trying your hand at this lofty goal, well folks sharpen your sporks, and get your groom on at www.woodwardatcopper.com. Click on the Jobs link and apply (or just click here to go direct:http://bit.ly/hM6kHN).

Cool. Hopefully whoever gets the job returns Copper's park to her old fun, creative, good vibe glory.

I ride Copper's park every day and think it's all of that... It's the hidden wonder park of Summit. Always so quiet. No cocky "I'm the shit" attitude like at Breck. I also think the park is SO fun right now... so many good jibs.

Just promote Jarred or Shane. I worked with them at DBA; they are both awesome. If this is Ben Brown or someone who works for him, IMO, doing anything other than promoting one of those guys would be a mistake. Problem solved.

^ Hahahahahaaa--- NOW THAT is a great joke! Keep them coming.... " matt stambaugh " haha OH BOY.

And I'm sorry, but why are you guys posting this on here? It kind of shows that you guys don't really have a well managed park or organization.. are you really expecting to get a ton of serious responses?

i applied for a coaching job at woodward at copper bc i saw it on ns... i was offered the job but it didn't work out with my schedule

point being - yes, there are some strong candidates lurking in the woodwork of ns

#stophating

Are you kidding me?

NS is the largest collection of freeskiers in the entire world.

Do you REALLY have that bad of an opinion about the users who are on NS and think they are all a bunch of goons?

I'm sure there are a lot of qualified people on this site who wouldn't have other wise known about this job.

No. If you were Park Manager every jump would look like this:

Haha, well played Huck...

That said, I know one of the candidates and wish him the best of luck. He'd do a great job for sure.

Do you happen to be looking for general park crew staff? Cus I don't think I'm qualified for manager but I'd do staff.

Thanks. I wish your guy best of luck too. Still Garrett (had his name wrong in earlier post) would be perfect. He is one of the hardest workers I have ever seen. I needed to mainline Redbulls to keep up with him.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the majority of NS is under 20 years old. That's not a bad opinion, just a fact. The majority of responses will be from random people saying "give me the job" and not actually qualified applicants. I'm sure there are many people on NS who have legitimate park building experience, but if they're out of work, they are probably looking on ski resort's websites anyway. And besides, most people on here who have park building experience are park crew or diggers, not park managers.

I also happen to have the opinion that Woodward at Copper has no idea what they are doing despite having a lot of funding to get things going. Posting an availability for a park manager on NS somewhat proves my theory.

Examples:

The indoor ski jump is massive, but the transition is so quick you can't double without hucking extremely hard. The indoor rail setup is pointless. Also, the bag jump on the mountain is almost worthless except for the novelty of it. It's also too expensive in my opinion, since they spent too much money on poorly designed features and are trying to make it back.

Just my personal criticism.

You have the mindset that all NS'ers are retarded 12 year olds which some of it is. But don't generalize. You never know. Some NS members are park managers at their own mountains. This could be a gateway for creativity and cool new features.

I think the first priority of copper mountain park crew should be to make a rope tow to the top of tucker...
Any other idea that comes before that should result in immediate firing.

First of all, they are asking for people to apply on their website which has strict guidelines, etc and takes a LONG time to apply. (I worked at Woodward for a long time, I know the routine.) They could careless about the responses people leave on here.

Second of all, Woodward at Copper has NOTHING to do with this available position. This position is for the outdoor park, which is in no way related to Woodward at Copper. Woodward at Copper is simply posting this for them to get more exposure.

Third of all, the building itself was the first of it's kind in the world. Obviously there are going to be flaws but those can all, and are, being changed.

Wow, how about save Tucker for the real skiers who aren't lazy and like to hike for freshies? Copper is a locals mountain and I want to keep it that way.

i worked lifts at copper and i was lucky enough to work the mtn chief and blackjack lifts.fucking awesome area... copper was my favorite area in summit... even though i lived in leadville.

Yeah I thought jsaya_SagStraps$ double posted and also said that... (aka I was taking him seriously).

My bad, apologies.

meh, that could be argued, there were a few others that tried to do what woodward did and failed, the landon sawyer center was even in Dillon...more or less the same thing.

Just because a park doesn't cater to one of the TOP PROS IN THE WORLD doesn't mean it's not a good park, idiot.

Copper got #1 in Freeskier for best park for progression.

It doesn't attract a lot of pros because it doesn't have as MANY jumps/features as Breck and Keystone which are 25 min away.
