Hey, im heading to Copper/ Colorado this Christmas holiday. Anyone know if they will have any jumps up or will i have to seek them out elsewhere? Thanks

probably like smalls and mediums maybe some bigger ones but i would go to keystone or breck kos keystone alredy just opened their large line

Coppers Catalyst will be open after the contest series. Rev Tour specifically (I think). This means the right line will be open (medium) with 3 jumps i think slightly larger than last season... and word on the street is that they'll be more lippy. We'll see!

30 - 45 for the initial jumpline. Sisterline following soon after with a smaller jumpline being made first thing after the rev tour ends.

Hoping for step ups... 30ft step up = yay... 30ft step down = fear

god last year 30 foot step downs to flater landings was terrible. Copper has Windells park designer right? how are they so different

winterpark = steeper overall, lots of bumps, more cliffs, have to watch a video to go into the big parkcopper = flatter but has some steeps if you know where to look, park i find here is hit or miss but the pipe is sick. check the web cam at copper for current new snow and check wp website for snow there 2 see who has go the most and go where ever the hell you want. you will find wp is nice if you are in denver cause u don't have to deal with tunnel traffic on snow days

I don't know how much help my opinion is... so take it for what it's worth.

For the past two years I've had a Colorado pass and to be honest, it's been incredibly average, even a bit disappointing. Freshmen year my family came to visit me in CO and we spent a weekend at Copper. The three days I skied there were more fun and more enjoyable than any of the times I've had at the Vail Resorts (besides powder days at Vail of course). To me, Copper had a much more local and friendly vibe to it. Lift lines weren't as bad, and you could find some great woods and steeps and cliffs if you knew what you were doing. People say the park isn't as good as Breck or Key but honestly I'd rather have a good park with friendly people than a great park that gets clogged and has an attitude (especially if you aren't an amazing park skier). I also really like the layout of Copper because if you want to be shredding gnarly terrain you'll pretty much be isolated from the bunny slopes and beginner areas.

So yeah, hope you enjoy your time, I know I'm excited for my first full season with the Super Pass. And also, I have a black Bern helmet with a big red NS sticker, a Level 1 sitcker, and Ski The East sticker, so hit me up if you see me.!

The park and park staff are undergoing major changes this year. Since Powdr Corp bought us, we've been given a bit more freedom and with the recent publicity we've received a better budget to work with.
We have been working with SnowParks to design the park this year. Considering some of their parks are consistently ranked in the very top, it is a great move. Also, Woodward is taking a lot more play into what happens this year putting out more creative features and also making sure that Copper really is the best place for progression in the US.
The goal is to create an environment where you can be an absolute beginner or an expert and still be able to progress to the next level with out there being any gap in progression levels.
