Just got some news the hike park from last weekend in Center Village will be staying up and open Friday-Sunday 10am-5pm. I’d expect some announcement soon with more details.

Summertime park skiing is back in Colorado with spending an absurd amount on Woodward!

Is it just next week or for the summer?

I assume for the rest of the summer? Still haven’t seen an official announcement but they were rebuilding it today

LOL paying for a park you gotta hike is like leaving a tip for to-go orders. Fucking scam.

$25 is definitely steep but maintaining a terrain park in the summer can't be cheap either

Hear they are starting up Saturday. Still no announcement but tickets are already up on the site at $25 a day.

This is my tard question so please forgive me. I have grown up here in CO and always wanted to go ski park in summer, but I don't want to pay for a camp. This means I can just show up on a Friday and ski like normal, right? No need to enroll in anything else?

Correct. This park is separate from the Woodward camps.

The hike park is predicted to last a total of 5-8 weekends depending on weather.

They will try to change up the park as much as they can each weekend, but are of course mainly focused on the camper's park.

It is open to the public 10:00am - 5:00pm Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays at a rate of $25 per day until the snow melts.

The snow pile is small and this was a last minute decision, but if enough support is shown, they will hopefully make this a regular thing for future summers with a bigger snow pile that will last longer like the old days.

Drinking alcohol and smoking of any kind is strictly prohibited. This was the main reason they took it away back in 2018. Don't fuck this up for everyone else and just do that shit in your car or literally anywhere else off the hill.

Depending on what u like, the set up is super hit or miss tbh

It's not beginner friendly or advanced skier friendly, its just like very standard intermediate features and then one super fun like elbow to down rail. There's some super lame boxes and then a shit ton of down rails and a transfer tub that was also pretty mint.

Not sure why they have two identical down rails though they're not even long so you can barely do stuff on them, you can tell all the good features are up at the summer camp

Yes, waivers need to be signed and tickets can be purchased at guest services in Camp Hale outfitters.
