Hey, some friends and I are headin to Copper, CO for spring break, and I was wondering if anyone has done any of the cat skiing on Tucker Mountain. I've been to Copper several times, but I've never made it back to that bowl. How is it?

the cat is slow as shit, just take the lift to the top of the copper bowl and hike over to where it drops off, it'll take just about as long, but you'll have the option to drop some cliff bands if you want to drop in early

get over there early..cause it's very popular especially for some gabbers who thinkj they can ski bow

on a good powder day its good shit

its cool, hike as far as u can past the firstarea that everyone skis for better snow and i think you get more vert

if you do this and want to ski tucker, you have to hike the entire rim of the bowl. the cat is the fastest way to ski tucker.

the cat sucks, ski the mountain chief and sierra for fast and fun shit, the cat is slow , and the hike sucks.

The Cat is slow as hell and when we were there, there was a huge line. Just hike all along the ridge and doesnt take super long. Once your at the top - POUND IT and then charge the line - its pretty fun

make the entire hike to the far side of Tucker mountain. The run is steeper, longer and has more snow. There are some pretty steep sections facing back toward the resort that looked fun.

yeah, go to the farthest ridge you can. and then keep hiking. fremont glade #7 is where the goods are.

spaulding bowl is the shit and the place to be at copper.

i've only done it once (by myself even) a long time ago but it didn't take that long. the cat drops you off in the saddle part. hike to the left. i hiked all the way to where the little shack is/was. the trees below there are real nice. just make sure to get out before you get too low to make it to the lift.

the bowls are very nice, i like to go in those cliffs and shit, the cat is good, slow but its heated and stuff. hike it, its so worth it, and go in the trees

Do what Elldog said. That what we did last year when we were there. Thats definately the steepest and best line. Its short and quick but well worth the hike!!!

the hike takes me about an hour. there's sometimes a long wait for the cat especially on weekends. the best line is all the way out about as far as you can hike. lots o sick wind lips the whole way down.
