Coping Question

So I went to the hardware store today, and came across what seemed to be the perfect coping. It was the right length, diameter, etc. But (here's the part that I'm not sure about) it's made of galvanized steel. It seemed solid, and fairly slippery, but I'm not sure if it's what I want. Yes? No?

It was fairly shiny silver colour if that matters.

If you can attach it I'd say go for it, as long as its not aluminum it should be ok, at least the seems to be the general rule for metals.

galvanized steal should be fine. It just means that is has been coated in zink to help prevent rust. Its one step down from stainless steal.
